Yesterday, we had our hair cut!!! Whoooo-hooooo!!! Our usual hair dresser, has a new place to work. A Senior's Apartments Complex. Where she is the only one working, in the Hair Salon. The place is quite new, and everything is also quite new. We are so glad for her! She used to work in the Salon of a department store. This job is so much better, in all ways.
.
And today, our *New* experiences continue.... We went to a grocery store, for the first time, since *The World Shut Down.* We went early. And only for a few things. We practically had the place to ourselves. -smile
And it was so much easier to get around in there now! With space made, for Social Distancing. The speciality tables (breads and cookies and etc.) were not 'packed together,' like they used to be.
.
My husband really likes the cookies they make in this store's bakery. And he really likes a bread they make. He was in luck, with the cookies. But not with the bread. But now that we know we can go early, and not have to face crowds, we can do it again. Other wise, we still use curb side pick up, and a couple of Delivery places. And intend to continue to do so.
One son and his wife, shop weekly, at a bigger grocery store. He will pick up items, we still can't get, in curb side shopping, etc.
We have no desire to go back to our former way of shopping. Well, perhaps he does miss picking out certain items, being able to seeeee them. But not I. And we simply are not going back to it. For as far as we can now see.

Hello,
Thank you for all the comments on my blog.
Regarding Bird, yes, he still visits. :-)
Thank you for the prayers for our military son. We appreciate them!

Hi, thanks for visiting me! Your background and header are gorgeous! A beautiful pop of color when I first visited. Yes, grocery shopping is so nerve wracking for me now, trying to stay away from people. Especially the ones who won't wear masks. I like the poem. Where do you live?
What a beautiful 4th of July banner picture! I still feel so happy to see our flag used extravagantly for this precious celebration even though I don't do nearly as much decorating myself for the holiday now as I used to, just no room to store it all now in our downsized house.
A new haircut lifts a woman's spirits so much! I even did a blog post once myself about it. I haven't been yet but need to badly and I saw on FB that my salon has undergone remodeling to make for safer visits too so need to get in there soon. And I remember shopping in a little grocery store like your pictures in the late 1950s. They were the only one then that delivered groceries, and to think that now our supermarkets are doing the same thing. I've only been once to the market since the shutdown, a couple of weeks ago and I enjoyed it so much. But my husband has done a good job of taking my list with him the whole time. I'm not sure I'll be going back again as I'm beginning to worry about the risk here. We took our dachshund to the vet today and they still aren't letting people come in the building but instead continue to pick the animals up at your car.
Things certainly have changed and I too wonder if these changes will be permanent. For one thing, I can't imagine ever going back to shaking hands anymore--hugs, yes but no handshakes!
I absolutely Love the charming little poem at the end of your post!
Loved this post and wanted to reply before we head out of town in a bit. I have no internet up north and rarely any phone connection. It is a good place to decompress and I am working at doing that. LOL I am not a very good at resting.
I loved this post and I am so glad you were able to get into a store today. I have braved Walmart twice with mask firmly in place. So far-so good.
Take good care. I probably won't be around for several days but will check in when I get back. Love to you, my friend. Diana
I’m glad that you could go shopping early. Our world certainly has changed.
Thank you for visiting my three latest posts. I usually respond to comments by email, but you’re a no reply comment blogger and I couldn’t email you. I do appreciate your visits! ❤️
Oh!
I love that poem!!!
And I adore your vintage photos, too.
I actually just returned from a major grocery pickup.
I won't be returning to regular shopping either.
Thanks so much for the lovely comments.
And I added the wedding photo!
Thanks for the reminder!
Have aa cozy evening!
We haven't gotten our hair cut yet because most of the salons here are so small and crowded but we are going to the grocery store more often now. There aren't many people...like you said and it's been easy to social distance. And it's nice to pick up the things you want. We ordered our groceries for awhile but we never got everything. It sure has been a change but I doubt if I ever go back to shopping the way I did before either. Love the photos of the hair styles. Mine is fine a little longer...as long as I don't put a ball cap on and smash it down! hahaha! Hugs!
I've booked in with my hairdresser and couldn't get an appointment until 12th August, she was so booked up already. Love the vintage hairdo pictures
I love the poem, just what I would love to have!! Just went for a perm yesterday, it was great to be back in the beauty shop where I've gone for over 10 years. (yep, I still perm) As for the new way to shop, I love it . . . Mr D not so much. Because of my health issues he does the grocery shopping these days, with the online experience I can do the shopping, love it. Enjoyed visiting with you today. God Bless
