🚰 Still without clean waer 🚰 UPDATE

 

We are still without clean water.   From the water main break of Sunday morning.   We still have to use bottled water, which one of our sons brought over, Sunday morning...  So that we don't have to boil water, to use it.

I am OC.  I probably wash my hands a *million* times a day, regularly.   During this water main break, we have to use Wet Wipes for any/all cleansing.  Yes, I'm glad I still have a stash of Wet Wipes, from my Covid-Stock-Up time.  But they are not the same as a good wash, with soap and water.   -sigh-  We can not shower, because don't want not-clean water to get in our eyes, nose, mouth, etc. 

 

  Let's face it.

We are a city of dirty people.

Just texted a Grandson and he is in school!  I really  didn't think they would.

Please be conscious today, of every time you turn on a tap and clean water flows from it.  Give the faucet a little pat, and "tell it" that you will not take it for granted, any more.  😌

Think this experience will push me to keep some bottled water on hand.   Not a lot, but some..

I read an Instagram/blog of a lady who does prepare.   Not with dry food and and that *preppy* sort of stuff.  But growing their own food...  Vegetables and meat.  Preserving it, various ways.  Keeping a back up supply of water.   Heating with wood stove and cooking with wood stove.   Etc., etc., etc.  Their  goal is to be able to survive, in 1800 conditions.   And that is a lofty goal.   Good for them!

Few of us have the land area or even the *drive*  to attempt such.  We are the products of the age in which we live.  So we had better *keep good thoughts flowing,* for the good of our Water, Electricity, and etc. Systems.  😉

UPDATE

Boil Water Directive was removed about an hour after I posted this!!!!  Then we had to run all water taps, to clear any air buildup and any *crappy* water, left in pipes.

 

You have no idea how wonderful it is, to have clean running water again!!!!

 

Plus, the bottled spring water tasted awful!!!!  Our own water is so much more tasty.  😋😋😋😋

 I am not been having time, to post or to read/comments on Dear Reader's blogs.

Because...  We have been having a run of "bad luck" with heath happenings.  He has.  I have been taking care of him.

It started with my husband's (necessary) removal of 2 teeth.   One was fine.  The other would not stop bleeding.  Spent the night in Emergency Room/Dept.  A horrible experience!!!!   Only ONE doctor, for whole Dept., all night.

Because Medical Professionals, like our Dear Doctor, where fired, if they chose not to get the Covid *Jab*.    We are thus experiencing a horrible lack of Health Care Professionals.   

What that one E.R. doctor did, at quarter to 5 AM, after our all night wait...  Did not work.   We came home.  My husband bit on more gauze, and we collapsed on top of bed, still dressed.   ...........   In few hours, called Dental Office and by then, I could not drive any more.   Our son drove his father over, and a different dental surgeon sewed it up WELLLLLLL.  

But since..... we both have been dealing with being awake and moving, for nearly 24 hours, after that night in the E.R.  Believe me,  at our age, this takes a long time.  .......  All we could do was get up, do necessities, sleep again.  Over and over...

He, of course, was weak!   And one can only eat certain things at first, after having teeth removed.   Then no chewing for days.   So it's hard to get good nutrition.  Plus he had to take an antibiotic, which also makes you tired...

And I was still tired....  and upset from watching all that bleeding and trying to deal with it............   But I had to do necessary things, as well as take care of a very weak, and tired man.

Sooooooooooo.....   Can you see why I have not had the time or energy, to do any Blogging????   😊

I'm taking it day by day.   Really want to and hope to get back to normal blogging!!!!

  We are becoming split into 2 Classes.   The 'pure' Vaxed.  And the 'impure' not Vaxed.      Actually, NYC has already done that.   To go to restaurants and many places, you have to show an ap on your smart phone, showing that you are 'pure' "Vaxed."

How about the Vax for children 5 and up?   I can see bullying of Unvaxed Children, by Vaxed children.    Children bully for all sorts of reasons already.    And this form, might  be tacitly encouraged by the school teachers/staff, who are rabidly for everyone being Vaxed.

The WSJ newspaper says that  shoppers are returning to Walmart and to Target, in spite of the China Delta strain.   Would seem, that people have children returning to school.  They have to get them ready.   So, they are "living with" the possibility of the China Delta strain.

If people are *vaxxed*, or are young and healthy, this  seems the way to proceed.   

The opposite is to hide at home, perhaps lose their livelihood, if they are blue-collar workers, and live in fear.

🌺🌸Housekeeping~~*Calls*🌸🌺

I'm (still) trying to get in a routine, for cleaning house.  So Monday, I determined to work on the kitchen.   And I did.   Deep cleaned counters, island, stove, sink...  I do hope, that if I do this weekly, it will not be as big a job!!!!!

I want to do one of the Fly Lady's tips.... 

Make sure your sink is clean, before going to bed.  It really is delightful, to wake up to a clean sink!

   I need to always wipe up any spots which get on stove, when it cools.

I already wipe counters and island, after making my husband's next morning coffee. 

Since moving our bedroom, down stairs, to the first floor...   We only have 5 rooms.   Hearth Room, Kitchen, Den, Bedroom, Bathroom/Laundry, and a tiny hall.   Just perfect for us.  And certainly not a lot of area.  

I'd like a weekly schedule, with one room a day for Mon.~Fri.   Seems doable.  It just the doooooing it, that seems to elude me.  -sigh-   But I began on Monday!!!!

We also had one of those calls, where you *converse* with a computer, until the computer can not understand what you are trying to tell it.    Then!   It gives you to a live human being. 

  But you have to wait, till the live human being is done, dealing with other people.   So, you get to listen to horrrrible music.  😒😓😔😠   Which grates on your ears.   So you have to turn the volume down.   But then, you have to be sure to turn it up, when you hear the faint voice, of a live human being!!!!

We each had one of those!   Soooo...  Double the fun!

We had to have plumbing work done, and they begin 

work at 7AM.  😱   Sooooo, we had to be up, early!   

And it turned out to be wonderful.  ~~~~~~~   I had 

computer time.   I got a washing dried and folded.   

Cleaned in bathroom.   Kitchen sink cleaned.   All 

counters and island clean and nothing left out.   It was 

delightful.

We have the *dreaded* Spring~Ahead~Time~Change 

tonight/Saturday.  And I want to get up earlier.   But 

I want to do it, "according to the sun."  Not according 

to the clock.  So I plan to spend Sun., paying close 

attention, to how I feel.  Wake, and sleep, according 

to me, and not the clock.

Do you have any plans, for how you will deal, with this 

*dreaded* Spring~Ahead~Time~Change?  So it will not

impact your health/peace of mind?   We who do not 

have to go to work, have the luxury, of choosing 

how much, or how little, it impacts us.  😊

It's a little thing, really.  But especially now, when we

are being told, how to do this, and how to do that, 

and where we can do something else...😟 😠 😞   We 

really need to make decisions, for our self.  Big ones.

I'm very into not~wearing~"face~diapers" outside,

I say; "I love to see this!"  And I get a smile, or

an; "I agree!"....It's time to show each other, that

we are fed up with the "Department of Pandamia".

And their changing Edicts.

We are adults.  We can seek out True Science.  We

are not children.  

And this does not have to be Political.

This is being an Informed Human Being,

who is a Citizen of a Free Republic.

The United States of America.
