🍁🍁🍁 Quieter... 🍁🍁🍁

At last, things have quieted down.

Last weekend, was the Wedding of our First Grand Daughter, to her True Love.

It was simply Perfect!!!!

Sorry to not yet be able to post pictures, but I will.

My old computer does not access such, easily.

But I will manage.  😊

🍁🍁🍁

We have had days and nights of cooler weather.  But right on time...  With school starting...  The sunny 80's,  are back.  😊  Skies have cleared for The Full Harvest Moon on this Saturday.  It is already an amazing sight, in the night sky.

🍁🍁🍁

I hope you are happy to be arriving at another Autumn.

I am...

πŸ‘‘πŸŒ•Full Moon *Effect* ~~ RoyalsπŸŒ•πŸ‘‘

The*dreaded* Full Moon Effect may have gotten to me, even though I didn't pay attention to *it*.  Our front door handle came apart.   Our tv is *dying*.

πŸŒ•

I admit I had great fun, seeing all the Royal Fashions and Happenings (and bits of drama), during the Jubilee.

But.........

Things like Royals, parading in ancient costumes, for an ancient Garter Ceremony....

And Tiara wearing, at huge Banquets, seem a bit out of touch with our present world.

And I really can't take the curtseying...

πŸ‘‘

My views only, of course.....

As someone, not living in a country, with a Royal Family.

πŸ”₯ Snow πŸ”₯ And πŸ”₯ Mys πŸ”₯

Well, I am getting my snow!
But it prevented our garage door, from being replaced today.
Ahhhhh but this garage door replacement is continuing to be a *Saga,* and not a good one.   But I'll spare you the details.
This photo shows falling snow, even better than my Header and above.

This is a picture someone lifted from a lovely Instagram.  "My Little Red House"  ...Another beautiful Net place, from Sweden.   In that country, they really know how to make a kitchen cozy, in their long, dark winters.

Do you know of Mys?  I didn't till today.

"Denmark introduced the world to hygge , the national pursuit of all things cozy and enjoyable.

In Sweden, where the winters are even longer, darker and drearier, the concept is called mys (pronounced mees) — or the adjectival mysigt. And although the terms are very similar, Swedish mys refers more pointedly to an ultra-cozy atmosphere. "

"Ways to experience Mys in daily life...

  •  Dim the lights and light candles whilst you are watching TV
  •  Buy some solar fairy lights to put around your bed
  •  Invite your family round for a big family dinner and dress the table nicely with candles
  •  On a Sunday morning, take your cup of coffee back to bed
  •  Invite your best friend round, bring the duvet from your bed and huddle together on the sofa watching a movie
  •  When it is raining, sit by the window in a big jumper and listen to the sound
  •  Light a roaring fire on a cold night
  •  Avoid harsh ceiling lights or spotlights and instead light your rooms with smaller table lamps
  •  Wear big woollen socks on a cold day in your house
  •  Grab your favourite book and curl up in an armchair"
.
Soooooooo.....   I know know about Mys!!!!!  -smile-
πŸ”₯
Ohhh, and tonight is the Full Wolf Moon!     I love that name!!!!!

πŸŽ„πŸŒ•Happy Full Cold MoonπŸŽ„Happy Winter Solstice/YuleπŸŒžπŸŽ„

We are now experiencing the December 2021 "Full Cold Moon."    (December’s full Moon is most commonly known as the Cold Moon—a Mohawk name that conveys the frigid conditions of this time of year, when cold weather truly begins to grip us. ~ Source)

(My Icon)
And since the Winter Solstice/Yule will be on Dec. 21st, this Full Cold Moon nearly coincides with 'The Eve of Yule' on Dec. 20th.   Which I think is pretty neat!   😊

I like to celebrate Solstices and the other Turning Points of the Year.

Source

"Why do we celebrate the winter solstice?"

"The hushed darkness of winter is at its deepest on the solstice, yet for thousands of years it has been celebrated as a promise of the brighter days ahead. The winter solstice is a tipping point, a moment of stillness when the balance of the seasonal scales will once again begin to tilt towards the light. Since long, long ago humans have been aware of this tipping point and celebrated the long night as a marker of new life and warmth returning." ~Source

I know, most everyone is busy....    But if you have a couple of minutes, this link takes you to some quiet (short) reading, concerning this lovely time of year.   -smile-   A bit of a respite, in the midst of all the Christmas Hoop-La.   -smile-

Wishing you a lovely Full Cold Moon, and a restful Winter Solstice/Yule.

🌻🌼 Hurry 🌼🌻

Blogging seems a wee bit slowed down.   Some are taking blogging breaks.   Etc.    Which is usual in summer.   People usually tend to be out more, with less time devoted to being on the Net.     Even more so, this summer, when we have been "Let Out Of Pandemic Jail."   At least, for a while.

But let's face it.   "The Powers That Be" are ready to lock us down again.   They have become addicted to the Power to do so.   Some already have.   New Zealand has 1 Delta case, and is in total lock down!  Read about it here... ...

How many things, were you looking forward to doing, in this summer of "Out Of Jail"?   Have you done them?     Let's get going!!!!   The summer is almost over.    Season-wise and Freedom-wise.   -wry smile-

"August’s full Sturgeon Moon reaches its peak on Sunday, August 22, 2021." ~Old Farmer's Almanac

Have you been able to see the moon?  It has been waxing!  😊   And the Full Moon is nearly here!  Hope we can see it!  Would really love to be able to see it, over the ocean or a body of water.    Guess I'll have to be content with its reflection, in the ripples of our pool.  πŸ˜‰

Gray hairs seem to my fancy like the soft light of the moon, silvering over the evening of life.

🌝Full🌝 and 😷Anniversary😷

(Source)
"July's full moon has also been called the Full Thunder Moon and the Full Hay Moon, as July is considered to be the season with the most frequent thunderstorms and the time of year when farmers harvest, bale and stow hay for the upcoming winter. "

The Full Thunder Moon is here.   And it's *Effects* are already being felt.    Watch  out!!!!!!!!!!

🌝 πŸ“Onward, into New Blogger Header Settings...πŸ“ 🌝

Obviously, my little old camera does not take moon photos well.    So that's a given.  πŸ˜‰   Nor does it take clear photos of ripples on our pool...  With reflections of the Full Strawberry πŸ“ Moon.   But!   It's all I have and so, I post them.  😊
 πŸ“

But the real topic here is......   Trying to deal with the Miserable New Wrinkle, which New Blogger has done, in its settings.   Messing with how we could easily make our Headers.

πŸ“

πŸ“

And now, for a lovely professional photo, of both Full Moon and water reflection.  😊

πŸ“

Someone might ask...  Why not get a new camera, since I love to blog?  Because I know myself.   I would not have the patience to learn about a new camera.  So it would be a waste of money, to purchase one.  πŸ˜‰

πŸ“

And now, back to playing with my Headers!!!!  -sigh-

Which Full Moon...? πŸŒ• 😊

Full Corn Moon on Sept. 1 - 2
πŸŒ•
"Frequently, the September full moon provides the Northern Hemisphere with its Harvest Moon, because the September full moon – more often than not – is the closest full moon to the autumn equinox.
 πŸŒ•
But, in 2020, the first of two October 2020 full moons happens closer to this equinox, so this year’s Harvest Moon comes on October 1
 πŸŒ•
When the September full moon is not the Harvest Moon, we in North America commonly call it the Fruit Moon, Corn Moon or Barley Moon."
