I wanted to, and did, post about the early September Wedding of our Granddaughter, before posting this.

Life was still more smooth then.

I am the full time care giver for my husband.  And have my own health issues.   Thankfully I have the advice and support of our two sons!!!!

But I can no longer blog, as I always have.

After my Dear Blogging Friends have been able to read this post,  I will "put my blog to sleep."

Blogger does not make this easy.  The only way I know of, is to make it Private.  Which includes an off-putting message that the person trying to read my blog, is no longer allowed to do so.

Obviously not the message I want to give!!!!!

But I am telling you here, the reason I have to put my blog to sleep, and thus, you will know.

Words can not express, how delightful it has been, to be a member of "Pretty Blog Land," as I always called it.   Nor can I express how Grateful I am to all my Dear Readers, for our interaction.

🚰 Still without clean waer 🚰 UPDATE

 

We are still without clean water.   From the water main break of Sunday morning.   We still have to use bottled water, which one of our sons brought over, Sunday morning...  So that we don't have to boil water, to use it.

I am OC.  I probably wash my hands a *million* times a day, regularly.   During this water main break, we have to use Wet Wipes for any/all cleansing.  Yes, I'm glad I still have a stash of Wet Wipes, from my Covid-Stock-Up time.  But they are not the same as a good wash, with soap and water.   -sigh-  We can not shower, because don't want not-clean water to get in our eyes, nose, mouth, etc. 

 

  Let's face it.

We are a city of dirty people.

Just texted a Grandson and he is in school!  I really  didn't think they would.

Please be conscious today, of every time you turn on a tap and clean water flows from it.  Give the faucet a little pat, and "tell it" that you will not take it for granted, any more.  😌

Think this experience will push me to keep some bottled water on hand.   Not a lot, but some..

I read an Instagram/blog of a lady who does prepare.   Not with dry food and and that *preppy* sort of stuff.  But growing their own food...  Vegetables and meat.  Preserving it, various ways.  Keeping a back up supply of water.   Heating with wood stove and cooking with wood stove.   Etc., etc., etc.  Their  goal is to be able to survive, in 1800 conditions.   And that is a lofty goal.   Good for them!

Few of us have the land area or even the *drive*  to attempt such.  We are the products of the age in which we live.  So we had better *keep good thoughts flowing,* for the good of our Water, Electricity, and etc. Systems.  😉

UPDATE

Boil Water Directive was removed about an hour after I posted this!!!!  Then we had to run all water taps, to clear any air buildup and any *crappy* water, left in pipes.

 

You have no idea how wonderful it is, to have clean running water again!!!!

 

Plus, the bottled spring water tasted awful!!!!  Our own water is so much more tasty.  😋😋😋😋

Not an easy read, since she (Meghan) is so awful. 

And he (Harry) is such an entitled whiner.  

I believe it, because they have not sued the author.

Has anyone watched Prime's "The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power"?   Is it terribly hard to follow the story line, I wonder?   Those EPIC programs, seem to me, to be almost *work* to watch.    But I may be wrong.  -smile-

 The trees and bushes and vines around here, are lovely.  So I tried to take a few photos.  But my camera isn't  working properly.   I haven't used it in so long, that I don't know *what it wants.*

So I'll just use the pretty illustrations which are numerous.  There are so many of them, that I could post 10 a day, and still not show them all.

Why not use my cell phone, for pictures?  Because I have not mastered it.  Nor do I know how to get them on my computer, if I take them.   It's just not a priority now, and I haven't taken the time to learn it.

I caught a glimpse of today's newspaper headlines...  Seems that *Ol Dementia Joe* (Biden) is *going off script* again.  This time, with "Nuclear Armageddon..."  

If he is as compromised as he seems, this Country should not have a man, with dementia, leading us and the Free World.

He had an amazing career.  Because of hard work, amazing life style, and total commitment and concentration.

He had a lovely wife and beautiful children.

His stats insure that he is The GOAT>>>Greatest Of All Time.<<<

He had his "TB12" company and a "Clothing Co.", plus a tv game coverage contract.

He retired.

And he came back to play another season.

His wife was furious..  She was (probably) tired of worrying about him being hurt, during every game.   After leaving her career and concentrating on the children for 12 years, she felt it was time that she could take up her career again, and do "Do Good" Projects, with her fame.  And he take over her role, of full time care of children/family.

He did not.   She left him.   Probably thinking it was the only way, to get his attention.

But he plays on.

I tried to watch his game last night.  But the magic was gone.  No longer did I really care.   

I used to love to watch the total concentration on his face.  His constant intense, steely look.... Not last night...

The first half was terrible.  I don't even know who won finally.  I don't care.

It's sad, to lose a Hero.

Might say, it would be better, to never have had one.

But I don't agree.

I had a couple of years of great fun, due to following Tom Brady.   Should remember that...  Should remember that...

Life continues to be thick, with health related appointments.   Guess we should be glad we are still "pottering along", and able to go to such appointments.   But it does get tiresome.

Loved "Murder In Provence" on BritBox, but sad it only had few episodes.   But enjoyed it enough, to think we'll watch them again.  Probably pick up clues, we missed, first time.

Europe having similar heat spell and they do not usually have a/c.    Wondering why well off Europeans do not get even a window a/c unit for bedroom, so they could at least sleep....

 I am not been having time, to post or to read/comments on Dear Reader's blogs.

Because...  We have been having a run of "bad luck" with heath happenings.  He has.  I have been taking care of him.

It started with my husband's (necessary) removal of 2 teeth.   One was fine.  The other would not stop bleeding.  Spent the night in Emergency Room/Dept.  A horrible experience!!!!   Only ONE doctor, for whole Dept., all night.

Because Medical Professionals, like our Dear Doctor, where fired, if they chose not to get the Covid *Jab*.    We are thus experiencing a horrible lack of Health Care Professionals.   

What that one E.R. doctor did, at quarter to 5 AM, after our all night wait...  Did not work.   We came home.  My husband bit on more gauze, and we collapsed on top of bed, still dressed.   ...........   In few hours, called Dental Office and by then, I could not drive any more.   Our son drove his father over, and a different dental surgeon sewed it up WELLLLLLL.  

But since..... we both have been dealing with being awake and moving, for nearly 24 hours, after that night in the E.R.  Believe me,  at our age, this takes a long time.  .......  All we could do was get up, do necessities, sleep again.  Over and over...

He, of course, was weak!   And one can only eat certain things at first, after having teeth removed.   Then no chewing for days.   So it's hard to get good nutrition.  Plus he had to take an antibiotic, which also makes you tired...

And I was still tired....  and upset from watching all that bleeding and trying to deal with it............   But I had to do necessary things, as well as take care of a very weak, and tired man.

Sooooooooooo.....   Can you see why I have not had the time or energy, to do any Blogging????   😊

I'm taking it day by day.   Really want to and hope to get back to normal blogging!!!!

Hot weather last week...    Bigggg T-storms last evening...   Fruit tree blossoms all washed away, by the heavy rain...   -sigh-   Such short lived Spring beauty.

Last evening I was wandering about in Blog Land, and came upon a UK blog, I rarely read.   Nice person.  Non confrontational.

He posted a very informative and moving entry.

Many, many, many comments...  People interested...  People grateful for this information...  People's personal experiences with the topic.   Etc.

And WHAMO!  On comes this woman, with a "bone to pick," as the old saying goes.

Not just "a bone to pick"!

She was "spoiling for a fight"!

Some readers continued with normal comments.   Some rose to defend the person whose blog, this was on.

And the owner of the blog, kept trying to answer her complaints, and apologize, if he had offended her.  A Saint, as far as I was concerned.

She was being an old-fashioned-TROLL.

For whatever reason.

And the worst part.....  She is a well known blogger, among those UK bloggers.   NOT some random 'nut' who happened on his blog, and just wanted to fight.

Have watched Brenda Blythen DVD's from the library.  "Blizzard"  an enchanting Christmas Time one, with her playing an Aunt, telling a 'story.'

"Saving Grace" about a small town English widow, facing financial troubles after her husband's suicide.  Pretty cute.  In both these films, she is playing a nice lady.  Smiling and looking nice.

Which make her role in "Vera" to be all the more interesting.   A total reversal.  Playing a woman with caustic wit and no-nonsense approach.    Showing her acting talents, as never before. 

So glad I got these DVD's to watch.

So, yesterday we got our Spring Snow.   ❄  The sun is out this morning, and it is falling off the trees and melting.  ❄   Hope this is it, for March snow.   ❄   Ahhh but no....

Snow. High near 33. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%. 

Sigh...

Last night, watched "FAT What No One Is Telling You" again.

Oooooops!!!!!!  It's a very old program!  Is it even relevant any more???  -sigh-

Guess I should just delete this post....  But *ding-it* I composed it.   Sooooooo, you all can just use your own judgement.

 

Soooooo, it is not our fault, that we are overweight.  Any overweight person, who has really tried to lose weight, especially in later life, can tell you that!!!!  But the stigma still exists.   We who are overweight, are lazy, and don't even try.  -sigh-  

I do believe that all the processed foods, and fast foods, which many consume, add to their obesity.  If children are brought up on fat, sugar, and processed foods, their taste buds are forever *ruined.*

And those, not brought up on such, but learning to enjoy them, along the way.....   Same result.  Unless they have a naturally thin body.

Luckily, I know when I am satisfied.  And can stop.  Yet my Set Point is SET. 

I was brought up on real food.   But have discovered not fatty or fast foods, but all forms of sugar.   And I now crave it.

My only solution is not have it in the house.

But that means, don't go out to eat either.   Because it is always available, once I leave the house.
