So, yesterday we got our Spring Snow. ❄ The sun is out this morning, and it is falling off the trees and melting. ❄ Hope this is it, for March snow. ❄ Ahhh but no....

Snow. High near 33. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Sigh...

Soooooo, it is not our fault, that we are overweight. Any overweight person, who has really tried to lose weight, especially in later life, can tell you that!!!! But the stigma still exists. We who are overweight, are lazy, and don't even try. -sigh-
I do believe that all the processed foods, and fast foods, which many consume, add to their obesity. If children are brought up on fat, sugar, and processed foods, their taste buds are forever *ruined.*
And those, not brought up on such, but learning to enjoy them, along the way..... Same result. Unless they have a naturally thin body.
Luckily, I know when I am satisfied. And can stop. Yet my Set Point is SET.
I was brought up on real food. But have discovered not fatty or fast foods, but all forms of sugar. And I now crave it.

My only solution is not have it in the house.
But that means, don't go out to eat either. Because it is always available, once I leave the house.

Haha! It is very challenging. I think stress does a lot to keep weight on us also. It raises blood sugar. Lovely, huh? So there's a good reason to avoid the news! It adds weight! lol
Sorry about the snow. We're supposed to go down in the 20's soon. Buds all over the trees and we'll get a big freeze. Oh well. 😩
We are supposed to get snow tomorrow and the low for Saturday morning is 2. Glad I don't have to go out that morning.
I also grew up eating real food and glad I did.

I grew up on home cooked meals. I'm saying home cooked...maybe not healthy by today's diet standards tho...I think in these times, when both parents are working the idea of fast food is convenience!!
And I personally think women(and men) from classic art are ugly!!! Gimme a playgirl with those perfect biceps (lol)
That snow is very pretty in spite of its late arrival. Real food is so much better tasting and better for our health.

I'm out of luck, too! Plump people get a bad rap for having no self-control. But everyone is different, and there are many different ways this can happen. We adore sugar, especially in the evening! Your header is so beautiful with the flower's veins. And the unusual color is perfectly picked up in your background.
I now realize that my mother did her very best to feed her family fresh vegetables, fresh eggs, fresh meats (rabbits & chickens home-grown) cooked cereals and many varieties of juice. We ate home processed foods all year long as well and always cleaned our plates. Now I've lost my appetite this year but still like to keep something sweet on hand -just in case. I never realized her efforts until now!! My daughters are overweight and one son is too. I didn't follow the LEADER!! Mom.
I still say you have to expend more calories than you take in.
There is no trick or easy way - just hard work!!!

Oh dear, I can relate to every word of this. I will have such success at eating "right" and even losing a few pounds, and then POW it's time to take another trip or have another birthday party! It's one step forward, two steps back. I have learned to, for the most part, like how I look. I wish I could have had that attitude years ago. xoxo
Sugar is also my downfall. As I get older I am trying to be more careful with this. X
I grew up on processed food because my mom didn’t like to cook. Fortunately, I’ve always been thin, though I do have hypertension and hypothyroidism. My diet is very low salt and sugar these days, so I’m able to maintain my lightweight status.
