Our Granddaughter wore the necklace, which my husband gave to me, to wear, on our wedding day, way back in 1958.

I may be prejudiced but, isn't she beautiful?

Her hair was like "out of Faerie Land"...

And we are all so happy!  They are both beautiful, handsome, and great people.

And....  The Bride and Groom...  With us.

Christmas, 2 years ago, our oldest Granddaughter became engaged.   This Christmas, our oldest Grandson proposed to his Sweetheart. 

They have been going together since they were 15 so it was not a surprise.  But he went down on one knee, proposed, and put the ring on her finger....  It was official.  😊

She has been part of the family, for a long time, and we love her.  It was delightful to have it become official.

She has always wanted to become engaged at Christmas, so it was extra special.

Both young women have lovely, simple settings, which makes me so happy.  For some time, the Engagement Ring Style has been small diamonds all around the main stone and all over the ring itself and ....  Well, I just did not like this Style.   And they didn't either!!!  So Nana is very happy!

No wedding date as yet.

🎄Creeping toward getting rid of....🎄

Our older son got us a "Roku" Streaming Stick, and set it up on our tv.   It is wonderful!!!!!!   It has solved the various issues we had, with just cable, and the new smart tv.  

In a month, when I'm sure all is working well for the long term, I will take back our Cable box, to Cable store, and stop paying for that.   We still have Cable, for an upper tier, but receiving it, via our wi-fi modem.  (Soooo, basically, we have "cut the cord.")

I will begin writing down the only Cable channels we regularly watch.  Check them against the lowest (least expensive) Cable Tier...  Possibly switch to that.

We signed up for more streaming services.  So we now have *zillions* of things to watch, with just streaming!!!! 

 

And of course,

we can cancel any of them, at any time.

We are *creeping* toward getting rid of Cable Tv.  😏

It's producing Holiday Movies, in competition with the long time major Holiday Movie maker, Hallmark.

It's concentrating on the Old Fashioned Vision of Christmas, something which has nearly vanished from television.

When Candace Cameron Burr spoke of why she moved to GAC Ch....  Of course she got in major trouble.   Many other celebrities were displeased with her statement.  

At this present time, no one is allowed to state any view, which does not agree with the "Woke" View.

That is the plain truth.

If you disagree with any of the "Woke" Views, you will be Cancelled.

Per usual, I'm ready to turn the calendar page, even before a Holiday is over.  😊   So my Header changed, the morning of Thanksgiving.  

 

My mind turns to the coming season of snow and snuggling inside.  

Nature is very dull at the end of November.   We need a bit of snow, to perk the outdoors up.   Well, up in the North, that is.

And definitely need some whimsey!!!   A LOT of WHIMSEY!!!!

 Have used a tablet case forever.  The other day, I took it off.  I prefer using it, without the old floppy case.  It's not in much danger, because I use it in the same place, when sitting in my comfy chair.  Or at kitchen table, rarely, but where I am now.    Actually composing this post.

 

My usual blogging spot is at my old computer.  It's really so old, that I try to save it, when I can.  If I can compose on my tablet, and then put pictures in, at my computer, it saves some use, on my ollllldddddd lMac.

Hope you have all your plans set  for Thanksgiving.  Here luckily, all we have to do is show up.   Family is doing the rest.   At our age  that's very nice.  :-))))

Cold weather is truly here.  Brrrrrr....   But more seasonable, than those warm temps.  

And all the landscape is mostly a dull brown.  Which can be a bit depressing.  I always think of a witch/artist, who said she finds the muted colors of November, to be calming.  I haven't been able to convince myself of this.  How about you? Can you find November's dull colors, to be calming?

So many cute Halloween images...  So little time....

My olddddddd floor lamp, by my chair, fell apart.  So, we had to go out early and find a replacement.  Did...  It sits in the car trunk, until a "Grandson" gets home from school and brings it in for us.  🎃

Awwww, what a cute ghost...  😊

We don't get candy, or turn lights on for Halloween, any more.  No little kids in neighborhood now.  And it is not a neighborhood, where little kids are brought by their parents, to trick or treat. 🎃   So that's in the past.  🎃🎃🎃🎃    Do you have a lot of trick or treaters in your neighborhood?

After cloudy and shower-y days/nights, today the sun is out and blue skies too!  In fact, it is warm and rather humid.  Hard to know how to dress.

But tonight is supposed to be clear, and it will get cold.  With clear skies at night, the day's heat rises and dissipates and the temps fall.  More seasonal...
