Hope to grow some Nasturtiums this year. We got seeds. And my husband has grown things from seed before.

Are you having trouble with seeing new posting, on your Blog List? I can't add blogs to my Blogger Gadget and that never happened before. And some I follow, I am not seeing new posts. And I am very confused.
I made a new private blog, with just my Blog List on it. Have to click on them, to see if there are new posts, but it's better than nothing.
❓
Help! If you are having issues, please say so!!! And I won't feel so alone!!!!!! π
Couldn't open the patio drapes to the sun, this morning.... Because little birds out there by the pond, would have been frightened and flown away. π Went back, and a lady cardinal was drinking, from a crack in the pond ice. π Finally opened the drapes. Love to have the sun pouring into this south side of the house, where our 'live in' rooms are.

The other day, I was looking out the window over the kitchen sink.... There were 2 birds on the pool fence vines. "He" seemed to have something in his beak, and "He" was following the "She"... When "He" would get too close, "She" would fly a ways in front. Then "He" would fly in front of her, with his 'gift.' Over and over, until he got tired and flew away.
Guess "She" just didn't want to choose "Him."
I love watching the birds in the Spring....
Guess it's time to "break out" the BUNNIES!!!!
Do you have a lot of decorating or preparing for Easter? If so, when do you begin to prepare?
Here, it's time to change the mantle. But other than that, I don't do decorating.
Dinner is unknown. I'd really like to "gather," but that all depends on whether one of the Grand Kids in school, has the 'sniffles' or not. -sigh-
But Spring has to get here. Nice weather. More able to be outside. So who cares about Easter Dinner? ππππ

Of the Equine species...
Our City Police Dept. Horse-Mounted Team is getting a new member. Our newest horse (she is called 'Phoenix') will soon join 'Apollo' and 'King Tut'.
"Animals can play a really important law enforcement role, and they also can have a really positive impact in working with the public" ...
Children love police horses so much that it's a special event when they go to visit elementary schools. And many adults walk up to police horses, on warm summer nights, on Broadway, to pat them.
Of course, they are very useful on a practical level. During special events and dismissal times, and sad to say, when too much drinking has gone on and the usual rowdy behavior follows.
One "Nana" (you all know and love) enjoyed going out to see them too!!!!!!!!!! -grin-

By any chance, does your local Police Dept. have a
Horse-Mounted Team?

It's time for a Question...!
How do you read/comment on blogs?
Computer?
Laptop?
Tablet?
Phone?
Reason for my Question...
I take time, and have fun, with my blogging. I make my blog show up WIDE. The middle part, where my photos & text show, is set WIDE. To sometimes allow big/wide photos. (These are more long than wide.)
I have a wide Header, and a compatible Background.
I wonder.....
How many Dear Readers can see the Header and the Background and the 'wideness' on my posts....? Which would depend, on what you read them on.
So, please tell me, how you read/comment on blogs.....
Computer?
Laptop?
Tablet?
Phone?
Please and thank you.

Some years ago, she appeared at a Summer Musical Event, outside of our city. It was a lovely outdoor event, nestled in a forest setting.... Thus only held, in summer. And we were able to see/hear the original.
Saw an interesting quote, which went something like this....
"Whether it's the best of times, or the worst of times, this is all the time, we have."
Kind of puts everything in perspective, yes....?

"At some point in the stretch of days between
the start of the pandemic’s third year and the feared launch of world
war three, a new phrase entered the zeitgeist, a mysterious harbinger of
an age to come: people were going “goblin mode”.
"Goblin mode is not a permanent identity, he said, but a frame of mind."
"“Goblin mode is like when you wake up at 2am and shuffle into the kitchen wearing nothing but a long T-shirt to make a weird snack, like melted cheese on saltines,” he said. “It’s about a complete lack of aesthetic. Because why would a goblin care what they look like? Why would a goblin care about presentation?”
The trend represents a direct departure from the hyper-curated “cottagecore” influence of early pandemic days, a standout trend of 2020 that included pastel colors, bucolic scenery and the showcasing of wholesome homemaking skills such as baking and embroidery.
But as the pandemic wears on endlessly, and the chaos of current events worsens, people feel cheated by the system and have rejected such goals.
“At home there’s no social pressure to follow norms, so you sort of lose the habit,” he says. “There’s also a feeling that we’re all fucked, so why bother?”
Call it a vibe shift or a logical progression into nihilism after years of pandemic induced disappointment, but goblin mode is here to stay. And why shouldn’t it? Who were we trying to impress, anyway?
“It is cool to be a goblin,” Marnell says. “Everyone is so perfect all the time online, it is good to get in touch with the strange little creature that lives inside you.”
Yup, I'm at least in Semi-Goblin Mode.

Had to get a very few things, in the nearby grocery store, and a couple of things, in the nearby hardware store. πΈπΈπΈπΈ Happily, the number of unmasked people are growing!!!! πΈπΈπΈπΈ Again, it is your choice to wear or not wear, a mask in public.
I noted the amount of money we spent this morning. Insurance bills, are set and you just have to pay them. The only place one can be more frugal, is 'out of pocket' every week. πππ I imagine many of we ordinary people, are paying more attention to what we are spending, with sky high inflation (Thank you *Uncle Joe*) and sky high gasoline costs (Thank you *Uncle Joe*... You who, immediately when you came into office, cut off the pipe line, and made so many onerous Rules on gas companies, they do not want to try to get more gas... Thus gas was sky-high, even before Mad Man Putin.)
π
And the sad thing is..... When everyone starts cutting back on what we spend, it slows the Economy, which results in Inflation and coming Recession.

Gotta' lift the spirit of this post!

I love the layout of the set used, in "As Time Goes By." I love allllllll sets. And this one, is quite easy to "see," as it were. But I have never made sense of the upstairs. Surmise they didn't care, if we can.
π
Can never reach wayyyy into my dryer, to retrieve something "stuck" in the back.... Without thinking of the awful scene, in "MM", where 'the busy-body' woman, is leaning into the hotel sized dryer, and the bad woman pushes her in, and closes the door and turns the machine on. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr... Remember that one???

Have watched Brenda Blythen DVD's from the library. "Blizzard" an enchanting Christmas Time one, with her playing an Aunt, telling a 'story.'
"Saving Grace" about a small town English widow, facing financial troubles after her husband's suicide. Pretty cute. In both these films, she is playing a nice lady. Smiling and looking nice.
Which make her role in "Vera" to be all the more interesting. A total reversal. Playing a woman with caustic wit and no-nonsense approach. Showing her acting talents, as never before.
So glad I got these DVD's to watch.
