I need to always wipe up any spots which get on stove, when it cools.
I already wipe counters and island, after making my husband's next morning coffee.
I'd like a weekly schedule, with one room a day for Mon.~Fri. Seems doable. It just the doooooing it, that seems to elude me. -sigh- But I began on Monday!!!!
We also had one of those calls, where you *converse* with a computer, until the computer can not understand what you are trying to tell it. Then! It gives you to a live human being. But you have to wait, till the live human being is done, dealing with other people. So, you get to listen to horrrrible music. 😒😓😔😠 Which grates on your ears. So you have to turn the volume down. But then, you have to be sure to turn it up, when you hear the faint voice, of a live human being!!!!We each had one of those! Soooo... Double the fun!

I also like to clean one room at a time top to bottom. I read about other systems of all dusting one day, all floors one day, etc. and I couldn't get the hang of that.
Have a great day!!
I have had those phone calls, annoying! I really need to develop a schedule for housework, I think I will look at your link.
I don't clean my own house, rather pay to have it done. BUT I keep my kitchen immaculate (I cannot go to bed with a dish in the sink or a spot on my stove) and the bed(s) made and everything "picked up" in between cleanings. I despise clutter ... and I HATE talking on the phone to any entity that puts me on hold with horrible music! Just, WHY??? xoxo
That second picture reminds me of my kitchen. I'll have to post a picture tomorrow to show you.
Your cleaning plan sounds great! :)
After the winter when so much time is spent indoors, we get outside any chance we get. House work can wait.
I don't like housecleaning but I like a clean house. Rather than spend a lot of time on one day cleaning house I broke my chores up to do one a day that lasted about 20-30 minutes; kinda of like you are doing. Monday is the kitchen, Tuesday the bathrooms and doing a load of laundry, towels, socks, panties and the like, Wednesday changing sheets, Thursday is another load of laundry with wearing clothes, Friday vacuuming. I dust about once a month (doesn't need it any more often than that) and whatever other deep cleaning I work it in. I never have a completely clean house but never a completely dirty house :)
When hubby retired back in December 2019 and I started to work outside the house in March 2020, we switched roles. I did all the cleaning since he was working outside the house and had a long commute. Now he does all the cleaning. He basically keeps the same schedule I do with slight variations.
When on a phone call and trying to work my way through the computer questions I keep repeating "representative" or "customer service" or something similar which sometimes helps you get to a live agent quicker. I also take advantage of, if available, the option of having them call me back when it is my turn in line. That works really well if it is not a long wait and I have something to do or somewhere to go.
betty
I find it easier to keep a clean house since we only have one teenager at home full time. I just clean as I go through the day, as I notice a messy area and it all seems to stay pretty tidy. Our daughter and her kids are visiting from out of state this week, and I had forgotten how it is with small kids. Toys strewn all over but I wouldn't change a thing!
Hi,
I would rather be in the garden .. but housework must get done. Hee Hee!
You brave girl, putting Dr. Seuss on your blog. Ha Ha, Just Kidding... who knew Dr. Seuss was WOKE ... oh and I hate that word.
Finding a routine at my age has become and ongoing process, so I have been going with the flow!
When I do serious housecleaning, I usually start with the kitchen, I find if my kitchen and bathrooms are cleanly house is clean as floor being clean too I usually do deep cleaning twice a year, spring and fall, but have yet to start on spring cleaning , I guess you might say I am a little behind.
Loved the quotes and photos, thanks for sharing.

I have been "planning" on having a weekly schedule....for awhile!!! Can't seem to get it to work, but I'm sure I'm not trying hard enough. Maybe after reading this I will do better:) Oh how I hate those phone calls...but I hate even worse the robo calls. My husband (who has been out of college for a FEW...meaning MANY....years) keeps getting calls wanting to help him pay his college loans. And I keep getting calls supposedly from Amazon saying my account has been hacked and somebody has charged over $1000. Funny thing though... I contacted Amazon and they know nothing about it. Scam, scam, scam! I wish these people would get a life that does not include mine!!!
