Roses~~~Weather~~~Memories

My husband's roses, down in the corner of our back yard, are very, very happy this year!   And he has not even given them any "plant food."  There are even more blooms, to the right of what shows here.    A pink rambling rose.

My little old camera, does not do well, with 'distance.'  But if you *forget* the fuzziness, it still makes a pretty picture.   🌹

A lovely cloud formation, from the other day.    Blue skies, puffy white clouds, sun shine.     But not so today!    It's very humid and softly raining.    All the growing things are happy.    But.   It's not comfortable for humans.   ~~~~   Yesterday's winds tipped the umbrella on a pool side table, right over.   The middle of the wooden table, where it was set, was pulled right out.   ~~~~  My husband says he can fix it.    But not today!    Too hot and rainy.

Like everywhere, our small city will not have all its usual 4th of July celebration events.  Due to the miserable Pandemic.   -sigh-   This old photo above, is from a long-ago "Flower Fete" parade.    How pretty this must have been!   Way back when....

Because there will not be lots of official Celebrations, which are easy to get to, I figure there will be lots of people, setting off firecrackers, at home.    We could hear some, last night.   And on the 4th, I'm sure, there will be many.  ~~~~~~   Dangerous of course.   Or can be.  ~~~~~~    And making pets, very very unhappy.

Love your roses! So nice to have a visit from you. I like an old fashioned 4th of July. But people around here go crazy with fireworks for days before and after. The one thing I don't like. Wish we had your rain! Enjoy the holiday! Jacqueline

I love your header today! And the roses are beautiful. They make a lovely picture with the background of the wooden fence. That puffy cloud is beautiful, and it looks like the tip of the roof is piercing it! We are having a heat wave, all week in the 90's each day. People around here started setting odd fireworks about fine days ago!! Poor pets!

Your husband's roses are stunning, as is the cloud photo. Sorry about your umbrella and table, we've had that happen to us before. My husband is constantly reminding me to put the umbrella down. : )

Hi, I love your roses. I have three varieties of roses in my gardens. This year they have gotten hit by a mite. YUCK. I made up a soap spray in hopes to help them.
