I think we are all tired of anger, repercussions, confrontation..Sometimes easier to just keep ones moth shut..Speaking ones mind can get ou shot these days..
PS...Apple pies are yummy..good for the soul..
I just see enough about it all on the news. I prefer to keep my blog for more upbeat, positive stuff.
Beautiful header! I have my reasons...
Everything is changing and things which were once fine are questioned now. For example, statues of the first Canadian prime minister have been defaced or destroyed. I understand the issues people have with him regarding the aboriginal people of this land.. However change Is slow and people may have to tolerate Sir John for another while. I’ll let others sort it all out.
I am speaking up among relatives and friends on Facebook. I have a blog in me that I am trying to pull together. I don't care if I lose readers but I just want to express what is going on in this country that people are oblivious about or don't care about etc. Our country is desperately in trouble and I fear for the children. Our rights are being taken away and it might be too late when people wake up to what is going on around them.

Extremists on both sides want to tear things down...they're fixed in their opinions, so why waste my time on them? I have my little say at the ballot box.
Excellent question... Why? In my case I just do not feel the people I have met who disagree with me will EVER change, and I don't seem to change when I read opposition... I have negotiated life for 3 score plus years by looking for common ground in others... I won't agree with them to save the peace in any form, but I will usually prefer to stay with the mutually agreeable topics unless I can commiserate privately with someone of a like mind... And yeah, I think it is courageous to speak your mind. Hats off to you!
The world is becoming crazy, when everything has to be so Politically Correct that we are unable to sensibly state different opinions. Why is it that people seem to think they have to get offended about just about everything?
And now to nicer things - I love the apple pie and how it symbolizes autumn (fall). I hope you get to enjoy this wonderful season to its fullest, Mxx
I have been growing in awareness of just how few companies own all the media, including newspapers. It is easy to give wrong information, and to silence people when the 'elite' get to make all the rules. We must keep speaking out, kindly, but with the truth!
