This photo is from another year... As is my present Header... Have not "gotten into" Thanksgiving decorating, this year. But actually, I am looking forward to our own little turkey. I found Gluten Free Seasoned Stuffin' mix. So my husband is going to make a Gluten Free Stuffin' for our own turkey!!! I have not had his delicious Stuffin' in years! Not since I had to go Gluten Free. Sooooooo, this makes me very happy. 😊😋😊😋😊

He usually makes the regular (not G/F) Stuffin' for the turkey, for where ever our family is gathering. But we are not *gathering* this year. NOT because of anything, Governor Emperor Cuomo says. But because of our own decisions. So we are having our own turkey here, and Gluten Free Stuffin'!!!!

Is anyone *gathering* for Thanksgiving, this year? Seems dangerous, to we old folks. And to our family. But then, not everyone knows someone who actually had it, and suffered with it. If they had, they might not be *gathering.*

But it is each family's individual decision.

What about your's?

Erma knew what she was talking about. I think you are wise this year.
Your header is gorgeous!! You and your husband will be together, and that is wonderful!
My kids will be coming over but we will be outside and social distancing as we have been since March. Glad you will get to have your stuffing. Enjoy!
Hello!
We will be here. Just us.
My family doesn't get together as my mom is in assisted living. Steve's family is so large that each family does its own thing. So our little family plus a fiance and a girlfriend will gather here!
I love your header and your Thanksgiving decorations. I think you are wise not gathering this year. We have had one family member who has sadly passed away with this dreaded virus, and two other friends also, all the same age as us (different states for them). Also we keep hearing of several others who are now dealing with it (family and friends in this state), but are now over it thankfully. They are also younger. The latest news was yesterday when two older friends we know have contracted it, but we are hoping for the best. We have just made the decision not to have family over for this year's Thanksgiving, and they understand. Everyone we know now seems to be doing the same. Here's to better days in 2021.
We're busts about Thanksgiving feasts... we don't eat anything special. But I am good about giving thanks throughout the year.
We will be gathering -- every single one of us (total of 13) -- this year just as we do every year. We're calling it a peaceful protest. Serving turkey, sweet potatoes, broccoli casserole, slow cooker creamed corn, homemade cranberry sauce, rolls, pie, and maybe even a few other things, depending on our mood. And we HAVE had it -- both my husband and me, and one of our daughters -- and while it was an uncomfortable few days, it was no worse than any seasonal flu or bronchitis any of us have ever had, and in many ways it was less worrisome than those maladies.
I wish you and your beloved a wonderful holiday. I hope you enjoy every bite of your dinner and your GF stuffin' and turkey leftovers and whatever else makes you happy. xoxo
It sounds like a lot of folk this year will be celebrating Thanksgiving without big family gatherings. I hope people still remember to be thankful though, appreciating all the blessings they have regardless of what is currently happening in the world.
Cute header! Glad your hubby found gluten free stuffing for the turkey! We usually don't get together with son/family on the holidays so they can do their own thing but we have a celebration beforehand so our Thanksgiving with them (total of 6 counting us) will happen next Monday and we are doing Chinese food :)
betty
Finally!!! New computer and caught up on a few things so I can blog again! We are not gathering this year either. It's a crazy world and with John's health we are pretty much isolated. He goes to the neurologist tomorrow again and I hope that he will really listen this time and maybe we can get this figured out.
We lost a good friend's brother this past week and now have friends (husband and wife) and both are in the hospital with Covid. He's in ICU she is in a regular room. So darned scary.
Please stay safe and well...and enjoy your gluten free dressing!!!! Hugs- Diana
I love that Erma Bombeck quote...yes, we will be gathering with our girls. Maybe we shoouldn't. I go into withdrawal symptoms if I don't see them every so often.
Hi,
I like the quote, thank you for that.
I like the sounds of your Thanksgiving my dear.
