Tasha...... !!!!!!!!!

It's full Tasha Tudor Time!!!!!!  I've said before, that I love her ability, to close out the world, and live in her own space.  And it is even more important now...    To follow her example...  Close out the world...  Live in my own space...

I never wanted to live her life.  I'm too addicted to the perks of my own time, to try to farm, and garden, and do all, which she loved doing.

But her vision...   Her determination to live, as she chose, in her own space...    That is what I love.   And what I need to emulate now.   Or lose my mind...

I too am much happier with a few modern perks in my life, but I love that vision of choosing to live in your own space.
Good luck on your journey to create your own world :) xx

Tasha was indeed a lovely lady who had such a sweet smile of contentment on her face. Oh, how I wish I could be happy like this lovely lady. Beautiful posting.

That's one way of doing it. I can't remember the author, but her approach was, "The goal isn't to shut yourself off from life, it's to make yourself stronger to let a little bit more of life in." That one resonates more with me. That's why I taught stress-hardiness/resilience for about ten years after I retired. As I've said before, my motto is, "Stay curious and open to life. No matter what happens keep learning and growing. Find what you love and find a way to share it with others."

I like some of the modern perks too much to give up by choice.

I agree with you. I love Tasha too. She really was an amazing artist, gardener and farmer.
Thank you for sharing the Charles Dickens quote.

I read her book "1 is One" aloud to all of the little students that I tutor (see what I did there?) ... her illustrations are extraordinary and she was so prolific, it boggles the mind. xoxo
