*Pantry Envy*!!! 😏 The Latest *In* Thing....😏

The latest thing...   "Pantry Envy"...   😊

No, this is not our pantry!    None of these pictured, are our pantry!!!!!    We have a rather small pantry, off our kitchen.    When we had this house built, I wanted a pantry, and a laundry shoot.   Since the bedrooms were on the 2nd floor, and (way back then) the washer and dryer, were in the cellar.

I discovered the Wisdom of having a Deep Pantry, before this China/Covid Virus shut our country down.    I could see where this was going, and bought supplies ahead.

Then, when we no longer faced shortages, I let go of my learned Wisdom.    -sigh-  But...  I have again learned the Wisdom of maintaining a Deep Pantry!    But where to store the items????

("Over-the-Top"  😏)
Because we are trying to solve this issue, with shelving and etc....  I really enjoyed an article, in our paper!!!!  Hope you can access it, with this clickable link.....   ....It tells how "During coronavirus, home owners have taken food storage to the next level"   Of course, these people have *all the money in the world* and their pantries are "over the top."  lol    I just want more pantry space!!!!!   And I'm not going to get it.   -pout-
🎄
If you have subscribed to the Wisdom of Maintaining a Deep Pantry, how do you store all the items, please?  We can use any tips we can get?

Just came over from Nana Diana Takes a Break. Oh, I have had Pantry Envy for a very long time. I have a "pantry"...if you want to call our closet with shelves a pantry. But in my dreams I have that first picture of yours!!! I have stocked up on a few extras...although I'm wondering if that is really necessary since I continue to go to the grocery store WITH MASK ON. We have a large bookshelf in our small laundry room that I put there from my classroom after I retired. I am now using that to store extra paper products, some small appliances, and some extra canned goods and staples. Not great, but it will have to do because in this house there is nowhere else!!! Sure wish I knew way back yonder (when we first built our house) what I know today!!!

Same here! We have stocked up, but no place to put all the food and paper goods. So it sits in grocery bags on the floor lining one wall of the kitchen! Looks awful, but it is the only thing we can do.

Haaahaha it wasn't covid shut our country down ... it was politicians with a most definite (and most evil) agenda. And they've just about succeeded in all of their nefarious plans! Next? Destroy the middle class. It won't take long. My stores of food aren't very deep at all but I love those lovely big well-lit and handsomely appointed pantries, and I wish I had one. And a massive laundry room while we're at it! xoxo

I bought a lot of canned goods before most people decided it was a good thing to do. We don't have a pantry, so we store the cans under the bed. Not ideal, but having them gives us peace of mind.

I have a storage room right behind my kitchen. I have an old dining room hutch that I keep out there where I store all of my canned goods along with any dishes, small appliances, and pots and pans that aren't used on a regular basis.

For most of my married life I have kept a Deep Pantry. We lived in many different houses and some had large pantries but in most of them we had to find storage in other parts of the home, usually making room in a cupboard somewhere by moving other things to places like under the bed or up in the roof.
Nowadays I no longer do home preserving but we still have a good supply of canned and packaged food in store, some of it in the linen cupboard, and non-food items (toilet paper etc.) stored in a small cupboard in the garage.

We have a nice size pantry but it is starting to be overfilled with what extras we have been buying. We are storing our flats of water in our walk in closet and in the 3rd bedroom where we have the treadmill and our grandson's toys. The paper products we have in surplus are in my hubby's office/music room.

Dutch houses are built very differently from American houses ... we don't have that much pantry! I always like fresh food! Even in these sad times, when the covid does what he wants I don't need a lot of supplies!

Those pantries are wonderful and they certainly don't look like mine. My pantry is very small and sometimes I think it would be nice to have one a little larger but then I realize that I am blessed with what I have. I enjoyed reading this, thanks so much!

I would like to have even a little pantry...all I have is my kitchen cabinets. You do not want to hear the rest of the story.
