When I woke up this morning, snow flurries were beginning. And we had about an hour, of S-N-O-W!!!! It looked so goooood!!!!!! ⛄⛄⛄ Then the sun came out. 😠 But now, we have flurries again!!!! ⛄⛄⛄

Last night, Smithsonian Ch. had 3 interesting shows... First 2 were about luxury cruise ships, and the 3rd, was about the Container Ship MSC Oscar. Which is nearly 1,300 feet long and 200 feet wide. And is the most efficient way to transport goods, around the world.

My thought.... My question actually..... Even if all on land, go to "Green Power".... And can anyone really believe that China will do that???????? Anyway, even if all on land, go to "Green Power," what will power these huge, huge, huge sea going ships???????????? Which are needed, to transport goods, around the world????Does anyone ask such questions???

I was in a discussion about electric cars the other day and how "environmentally friendly" they were - until you stopped to consider how they are manufactured and the limited-life batteries they operate on!
There’s a lot that needs to be sorted about green power. We’ll start somewhere I guess.
I love the Smithsonian channel, but did not see these shows on the guide, WAH! Well, they often repeat things, I will look thru the week's offerings!
I just found "Mighty cruise Ships" and set it to tape later this week. Also found a show Ice Airport about an airport in Alaska and the animals around it.

I always question the carbon footprint of what it takes for the green energy... just think what it takes to make a wind turbine, then the transportation, then what if the oil from one leaks into the soil...it is bound to happen, but wonder how often.
And I have thought the same thing about the batteries fir cars.
And a few years ago, when it was the fad to have your home go green...peoplecwoukdctearvout perfectly good stuff to replace with environmentally friendly floirs, etc.
