I/we don't mind spending money, on something, which is useful and adds to our quality of life. But a new camera, at this time, does not fit those requirements.
Do you have specific criteria, for how you spend your discretionary money?
✨✨✨✨✨✨
Depending on how long, you have been "on the Net," are you sometimes reminded of something, from a rather long time ago? I have been "on the Net" for about 25 years. I've seen a lot, over that time. And Net-met a lot of people, too. Sooooo, what does a picture of a little dragon, have to do with this?????
Well, I remember a blog, or a Live Journal, or some form of Net communication..... Belonging to a woman, who actually believed that she had a small dragon, living in her home.
Now please know, she had a good job, to which she was devoted. She was not a recluse, who spent all her time, "in her own mind" as it were. She "was out there," as well as at home.
But she also believed in dragons.
The small one, living in her home. And on occasion, a large dragon, would stick its head in through an open window, seeming to be checking up, on the small dragon's well being. She did not interact with the big one, if I remember correctly.
She also had a pet parrot, who used to be teased by the little dragon... Or visa versa.... So she herself, was not the only one, who 'saw' and 'reacted to' the little dragon.
Soooooooooo...... Depending on how you "feel about" dragons, I guess you will have to decide for yourself, what you think about this. -smile- As for myself, I was fascinated! My feeling... Who wouldn't want to believe that they had a small dragon, living with them??? -grin- I know!!!!!!! Probably only me, and a very, very few others.
I wonder, where she and her dragon and parrot, are now?

will never find it.” ~~Roald Dahl

Cute little dragon..No criteria..just have to want it!! and be able to afford it!!
Since I retired I obviously am a lot more careful with my spending. Luckily with my desire to simplify my life and downsize my possessions I can usually avoid spending money on stuff unless it's absolutely necessary! I would rather spend my money on experiences now! Cute little dragon in the picture! I would have loved to read that journal you are talking about!
This reminded me of my favorite author -- Gladys Taber. She believed she had a unicorn. She used to see it in her garden every spring or summer. Nothing wrong with having an imagination!
That a gorgeous photo of the little village at the foot of the Alps! This is kind of like a drinking glass rainbow! Well, there ARE little dragons for sale at out local Petsmart!
Most of my discretionary money (and any other money) is spent on my grandchildren:) Hubby says we need to spend it on them now while we can see them enjoy it...rather than after we are gone:) And being the sweet ones they are, they are always grateful for everything we do for them. As far as the dragon goes, hmmmm. Not sure what I feel about that but bless her heart if that's what she wants to believe and it makes her happy then I say to her "go for it"!!!! There's not enough magic and imagination in the world anymore. I wanted to respond to your comment on my blog. I have known many people who have had their second vaccination and done absolutely fine, including my 92 year old mother:) My reaction was not fun, but I would do it again to have the vaccine. I know it's a difficult decision...hubby and I did a lot of thought about it. I have likened it to the polio vaccine. I remember when it first came out. I was in the first bunch to get it. OUr parents never questioned it...they were just happy for their kids to be vaccinated. But I respect everyone's opinion for whatever they decide to do.
When my camera broke I didn't get a new one and now just use my phone. Works good enough for me.
Cute dragon - would have been fun reading her blog.
Your picture of the glass is beautiful. I like it. I don't know from miniature dragons or people who think they host them in their homes. I guess I'm a little more cut and dried than that. As for discretionary spending ... well it goes like this: If I want something and it's feasible, I ask my TG if we can swing it. Usually we can. It's all good. xoxo
My camera really needed replacing but I couldn't find anything suitable in my budget. Now I mostly just use the camera on my phone.
The little dragon is cute - I wouldn't mind that in my house, but not a live one whatever it's size was :))
