Oh what a time we had, getting a new power recliner, to replace my old one!!!! Mercy me!!!!!! LOL We went to 3 local furniture stores, with out luck. So then, we had to venture down toward the Capital District, to the La-Z-boy store.
Having not been down that way, in years... (Remember, I do not like to go shopping!) the road had changed. So we missed the turn, and went miles beyond our goal. Had to ask lovely people, to give us, present day directions. By the time we arrived at the store, we had been on the road for over an hour!!!!!
Not jolly, for people who have not traveled far, for years and years.
Eventually we found one, which they had in stock! With this China/Covid/Pandemic, their stock is very depleted and you have to wait months, for items to be in stock again.
And it would take a week and a half, to have it delivered!!!!! So they put it in the back of our car, and our Dear Grand Sons brought it in, and set it up, and moved furniture, a bit.
We are so very, very lucky, to have these boys, next door!

That recliner looks very comfy! I'm glad you were able to get it that day! Furniture buying seems like such a hassle right now. My daughter and her husband ordered a couch from a furniture store that promptly went bankrupt! Worse is they had to dispute the charge with their credit card company to get their money refunded!

We will be spending the day with Chad and Erica and Audrey and Dagny. I have made ham salad and a big chocolate layer cake!~ We had planned to take a Sunday afternoon drive and have a picnic and walk in nature, but the weather is cold and wet and nasty and miserable (Like most people, I love wet nasty weather as long as I am at home). That is a nice looking recliner...I so need one. Not a power one. Went to a furniture store and they had one I sort of liked, but felt like it was high priced and not well made. Not in stock. Had a dozen of one recliner that was the most uncomfortable chair I about ever sat in.
Went to Menards and they had one I actually liked but haven't decided about getting it. It felt so much more well made than the one at the furniture store.
