Yearly DST Rant...😡😠😡😠😡

Here it comes again...!!!!!  Dreaded Daylight Savings Time...!!!
.
I prefer to live by the sun.  So this always upsets me.
Not so much in reality, but in the knowing that this silly
thing, is still going on.
.
Being older and not having to work, I can continue to get up when it feels right, and go to bed, when it feels right.  I do not have to upset my Body Clock, or the Body Clocks in every cell of my body.(<--known now by science)
.
Saturday nights are an exception.  Because "Vera" goes till 10:30PM.  😊
.
Still have to be sure we are ready on time, for a rare appointment.  But I don't watch much tv so that doesn't need to be a frequent issue.
.
And I am not the only one, bothered by the Idea of this continuing ridiculousness.  Here's an informative article: (Please click on this click-able link, to read the article)-->  "Why daylight saving time may be bad for your brain and health"
.
Here is just one interesting bit of info, from the above article....   "Multiple studies have shown a small increase in heart attacks after the start of daylight saving time in the spring and a small decrease at its end in the fall. Meanwhile, stroke rates are 8% higher in the first two days following both time changes."   Wow!
.
I know, I am not alone in such feelings. And I know, that many do not agree with me. 😏  We all have this happening.  In the US, it is this weekend, March 14th.  In the U.K. and Europe, it is March 28th.
.
So this is happening to (most) all of us.  How do you feel about this topic, please and thank you?

The only thing I can say on the topic is that I hate the early dark which comes in the fall and it is very depressing to me for a couple of weeks, but is generally offset by the distraction of the holidays. By January I am used to it and the days are already getting longer, so it ceases to be a problem. I do not like spring-forward weekend simply because I "lose" an hour of sleep (and I get up and go to church on Sunday morning so I feel it that day), but that's not the end of the world. All in all I can just say I'm looking forward to spring and summer. xoxo

I have no problem with daylight saving. Just don't see why it's necessary. I hope Greece decides to stay on summer time forever as they say they might.
I do love the autumn change though when which get to sleep an extra hour.

I am NOT a fan of the time change. I'll be back to walking in the dark in the morning again. One good thing though before long it is light again in the morning.

Time to eliminate this practice.

I do not like the "savings time" idea at all. I feel we were made to live by the natural sun times. Many of the states are discussing not doing it anymore, or doing it all the time, but no more switching.

I just prefer standard time, like you. If they need to give more daylight hours then we should just 'spring forward' and stay there. No switching back and forth.

The time change never seems to bother me. I have to admit that when I worked I used to love the extra hour of daylight in the evening. Now that I am retired I don't care either way. I think DST will probably be discontinued on day though.

I think it is crazy to still do this.
