🏊 Of chicks🐥And heat😓And pools🏊

Still playing with photos....   If you scroll up and down, between Header and this photo, which are the same....   You will see, that the posted one, is clearer.  The less photo size manipulation, done...  The clearer the photo.

🌹

Son and family next door, have 4 new chickens.   For 5 weeks, the baby chicks have been living and growing, on their back enclosed porch.  (In their own enclosed set-up.)  Finally, they are big enough to come outside.   But stay in their own "house-and run," for a while.    Before being allowed to mix with the "Old Girls."
🌹

We are to be quite hot, today and tomorrow, and heat continuing.    The pool will see much use!   The "Grands" and friends will be over, and it is wonderful!!!!  Way back in 1970, we put the Gunite Pool in.    And family/friends have enjoyed it, for 51 years.

🏊

"Are gunite pools worth it?"  .......

"...a properly built Gunite pool can and should last for 100 years or more, with no risk of cracking whatsoever."

"A gunite pool is perfect because of its amazing design versatility. These pools last the longest of all inground pools and often feature the best warranties. Gunite pools do not need wooden frameworks to hold the shape, so building is simpler than standard concrete."
🏊

Nope, we are not selling them.   Or getting any kick-back for saying this.    We just love, love, love our Gunite Pool!

🏊

Good you have a pool to stay cool in. It is hot here as well but the humidity is a little lower. Actually Monday I woke to 49 degrees and the high was 70. We had three or four spring like days which is always a welcome surprise in the summer. Stay cool and have a wonderful week.

Hello my computer tech friend! Your blog is gorgeous, right down to the beautiful big roses header. I also like your little beachy things at the end. We are having a heat wave here as well, I'm glad that you will be using yours to have some good family fun. I have never heard of a gunite pool, what is it??

I had to look up what a gunite pool was. Interesting! I don't think our inground pool is gunite but we sure enjoy getting into it on these hot Phoenix evenings :) The City of Phoenix has 29 public pools. Our "esteemed" progressively liberal mayor/city council deemed only 12 of them to be open this summer (mind you none were open last summer). The one close to us is not opened. The closet one is 5 miles away. And you have to make reservations to go to the pool and you are limited with how long you can stay there. When I was growing up my mom would send me and my brother to the public pool a few times a week and we would spend all afternoon there. Same with my kids going to the public pool. Ridiculous why they can't all be opened.

Sorry, bit of a rant.

Haha, I also agree with Jane Austen! Sounds like your pool has been an amazing investment, and something to continue enjoying in the years to come.
Keep cool :) xx

Yes, it's hard to look very elegant when your sweating and your hair is either limp or blown up to massive proportions from the humidity! We have been getting a lot of rain but thankfully not as much as the weather man was predicting! How wonderful that your family uses your pool so much! I would love that too!

I wish our pool was of gunite! But we love it anyway and enjoy it tremendously. Such fun when everyone gathers. We've yet to get REALLY hot but I'm sure it will come with July. June has been very pleasant. The chicks are adorable! xoxo
