🍁 Interesting morning... 🍁

(Isn't that a lovely, lovely photo???)

Had my 6 month checkup with our eye specialist, this morning.   All is good.  He is wonderful!!!  But....   One sees a tech, before the doctor and she does different parts of the examination.    🍁🍁🍁    Glasses kept fogging up, with mask on.   Soooo, she put a piece of double-sided tape on my face, and the mask then "stayed in place."   No glasses fogging.  But...     🍁🍁🍁    I couldn't breathe.

🍁🍁🍁

Then we had to walk down a long corridor, and have more testing in this little room.   On and on...  I was having difficulty breathing but had to keep it tight.    🍁🍁🍁   I finally told her I can't breath.    🍁🍁🍁   We were done, so out we go, back down the long corridor.   By then I was getting light headed.

    🍁🍁🍁

My wonderful doctor was at the end of the corridor and looked up.   I am going slowly, near wall, and said, "I can't breathe, etc."   So he said to go in the exam room and remove your mask.  (for a bit)    🍁🍁🍁  I took it offfff!!!!!!!  And breathed!!!!

    🍁🍁🍁

When he came in, he asked if I "had the jab."  I have, and am "still in the 4 months when it still works."  He said I could leave mask off for the exam.  Then he asked the recording tech, if she was ok, with this.  She was.  Sooooooo, the rest of the appointment, I could breathe!

🍁🍁🍁

Had to put it back on, to go out, but by then, I had had enough oxygen in, and carbon dioxide expressed, to function.  Needless to say, I love, love, love 💓 my doctor.   But I don't love the Hospital, to which all our doctors are attached, for their Rules.

🍁🍁🍁

You can say, that the Rules are "protecting everyone else".  But I have seen verified studies, concerning why masks do not work.  And in fact, are worse.  If anyone would like a link to my source, I will give it to them.

🍁🍁🍁

There is a beautiful spirit breathing now.

Its mellow richness on the clustered trees,

And from a beaker full of richest dyes,

Pouring new glory on the Autumn woods. . . . . .

Beautiful opening image. I'm glad they allowed you to remove the mask.

My eye doctor has the same kind of routine. But I have never had any doctor tap my mask to my face, jeez! I did see on the news that the blue masks are worse then nothing, because they gap at the sides. I'm not quite sure how to take your second comment on my blog. Do you feel unsupported?

I'm the same with masks, can't breathe and can't see. I also query their efficacy at preventing the spread of covid (which apparently can also enter the body through the ears and eyes), but wear mine so I can obey the 'rules.'

We wear our masks, are temperature checked, hand sanitized and papers filled out before we can enter the main part of our health systems main section for Dr. appointments. Once in the private room with the Dr. we remove our masks and put it back on before leaving the room and the building. I feel very safe there.

Love the photo. We have a bunch of wild turkeys running around up here by us!

What an ordeal! I'm with you on the masks. I really think they are worse, because they are always being touched and adjusted which brings more germs to your face. I have to wear one much of the day, but thankfully I can take it off in the office. When our Dr is with me, he pulls it off as soon as we get back in the room. He isn't a fan either.

I had the same issue when I was looking for some new glasses. Each pair I tried on just kept steaming up. X

Sigh! I’m sorry this happened! I’m with you about the efficacy of masks.

Beautiful photo and header!

I know those masks are not helping anyone but so many believe what they are told! I take my chances, as I have, my entire life, with God Almighty. I just had an annual eye exam. They aren't so picky once they close the door to do my exam. It is utterly absurbed to wear a mask. I thoguht I would need cataract surgery. I know God answered my prayers as the doc said I do not need it. He said I was much too young, hahaha. God Bless him. He said in my 70's would be more accurate. I am just very grateful and getting some pretty new frames too. Have a great week.

Sounds like a wonderful doctor. I think masks make people "feel" safer even if they aren't. Sort of a security blanket for scary times. But they are very unpleasant to wear.

I hate masks but continue to wear them. Hateful things!

Thank goodness they let you take your mask off. I had an awful experience at our Optometrist last November. Our Optometrist retired... so I tried the newly hired. Well.. I won't be going back. WOKE!!!!! And I do not do WOKE!!!

This is horrible and borders on abuse. I don't care who the doctor is or what the hospital is. Masks do not help anyone. That is a lie. xoxo
