❄ A lovely lady ❄ Snow ❄

Isn't she lovely?   Catherine    At 40

Please do click on that red click-able link above.  It shows the portraits, in large size, where they are even more beautiful.   ✨    A lady, who does her job and is a wife and mother.   Without any whining or moaning or *Oprah Interviews*....    ~smirk~

We had lots and lots of snow showers on Monday.  At one time, they were huge, so I took a picture.  By some *magic,* they can actually be seen here!!!!!

We were very lucky that the Ice Storm did not give us enough ice to lose power, on Sunday!!!!   But it was an uncomfortable day, trying not to think about the possibility.

Today/Monday, it has been a trying day, what with dealing with one problem after another, after another.   Which I will leave for another day.

And....    I can't resist, a large version, of perhaps the most lovely, to me....   Portraits of Catherine...

"It is impossible, to me at least, to be poetical in cold weather." ~ George Eliot

"Winter is a season of recovery and preparation." ~ Paul Theroux

"I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently?  And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, 'Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.'"  ~Lewis Carroll

(I just love that last one.....)

Ten degrees sounds wonderful! You sound busy which can be a good thing. Take care!

A woman that doesn't whine? She's not normal (just kidding). Prince William is a lucky man.

Your weather is way too old for me. Hope the power remains.

Very pretty snow pics! It's so cold here too - 3 degrees tonight!
I love the Kate photos. She is classy, inside and out. Unlike someone else we have discussed in the past!

We just got out of a cold snap .. -20 was our coldest with a windchill. We are now going to climb into the 20's.. with a chance of snow. :-)

I agree, Catherine is lovely.

Your snow picture looks very pretty, just like a snow globe, although the possibility of losing power must be a worry when the storms come. Do you have back up just in case? X

Oh look at those big beautiful snowflakes. We have only had a dusting of snow but there is a chance this weekend. One can only hope!!

We did have some ice but I just stay in and look out. This morning at 7:30 the temp. was +5° - no too bad. "The sun is shining...Oh happy day..." Kate is a beautiful woman.

I love these photos of Kate! She has come into her own, so to speak, these last few years and coming into her forties will only strengthen her confidence. I chuckled about your reference regarding the unnamed ones.

It’s cold here too!

The Lewis Carroll quote is stunning, as are the portraits of Catherine. I studied all three when they were published, and although I think they are all gorgeous, my favorite is the one on the far left above, with what looks like white flowers on her shoulder. I just think that her face and smile are so lovely and genuine in that one. I would not say I am an admirer of hers, technically, as I doubt we would agree on much, but I have been impressed time and time again over the last decade-plus with her poise and dedication, and most of all her evident love for her husband and children. I am rooting for her and William. xoxo
