⛄ Halfway between... 🌺

February 1st is the Eve of Imbolc,   a Gaelic traditional festival.   Imbolc symbolizes the halfway point between the winter solstice (Yule) and the spring equinox (Ostara).

So, for those of us, tired of cold...   And for those of us, tired of snow storms...  I guess it should be  a nice reminder, that this Cold and these Snow Storms, will not last forever.  :-)

An Instagram I like, said it this way....   "I wake for Imbolc..."   This sounds to me, like the perfect way to greet Imbolc.    She has been enjoying hibernation.   As I would love to be doing, but *stuff,* keeps getting in the way.

Anyway, it sounds wonderful, to "wake," to notice the movement of the year.    And then, to go back into the quiet and introspection, of hibernation, for the rest of Deep Winter.  -happy sigh-

We shall see what the weekend brings... Phil will tell us what the next 6 weeks will bring. Today we have NO control. What IF we did? We can predict it but so far cannot control it. Maybe someday that will be possible. Won't matter to me.

I'm all for hibernation on cold, damp, coastal days!! When the temp reads 35°, the cold Gulf water effect makes it feel like 25°

Time moves along so swiftly that in no time people will be saying how hot it it. : )
Published my post and forgot to answer your train question.
Ken built the currant layout in the three years since we lived here. He tears it down when we move but tries to keep most of the structures. Just builds a new layout and rearranges things on it.

I saw that Brady retired today. Sad but understandable! GOAT

Hooray! This is a lovely and encouraging post.
PS - thought of you while I was out driving today. They talked about Tom Brady retiring and of course you popped into my head!

I have been enjoying some hibernation, but as our temps are now temperate again, I have also been enjoying my daily walk in the sunshine! xoxo
