-smile- I'm probably rushing the season... With lilacs... But I was considering what new candle scent to get. Since I'm still using my "Autumn Kitchen" one. It's still delightful, but........ It's coming time to get another scent.

I love lilacs. Their scent is lovely. And they are such an old fashioned looking bush. Delightful in every way. More so, since we can no longer enjoy the scent of flowers, due to allergies. -sigh- No flowers in the house, of course. -sigh-

"Lilac Eau de Toilette is a delicate, fresh feminine floral that perfectly replicates the gorgeous aroma of the fleeting annual blossoming of this intoxicating flower." (Link)I have not had a fragrance in a long time. I think it is time that I got one! -smile-

If you were going to pick a scent or a candle, which would make you happy right now, what would it be?????

I was gifted a Lavendar, Cedarwood candle this week and I LOVE it.
It's funny I was flipping through my baby book the other day and my Mom noted the things that I loved. Candles and cats were on the list. I guess somethings never change.
Happy Friday!!
I would pick anything Spring related! Lilacs have the most beautiful scent!
The lilacs are gorgeous! We have a lilac bush outside of our back door, and always give our friend a few blooms. At least you can have some kind of artificial scent? They make them so realistic now. The last scent I get was honeysuckle!! It is not easy to find, but reminds me of my childhood when it grew everywhere.
Lilacs are lovely. For candles, I prefer food scents, rather than florals. Things like coconut banana bread scent . . . LOL! I once bought a cheapie candle from a discount store that was Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie and it was FABULOUS! Have never seen it since :(
I love your beautiful blog about lilacs. I can almost smell the wonderful, fresh, perfume of these lovely flowers.
Ugh I love lilac so much! Here it is wisteria but same difference. I think you should definitely get a fragrance! I love the five-dollar 22-oz. jar candles from Walmart. They are cheap but effective. They used to make a pink one that was called something pea ... like maybe sweet pea ... but they STOPPED MAKING IT and I am gutted because it was my favorite spring-summer candle for the house. Aaarrrrghhhhh xoxo
I have hyperosmia, so I don't do (mostly synthetic, but some natural) fragrances/odors (absolutely no to candles, body lotions, soaps, smokers, fabric softeners and many detergents, and a bajillion other things). I totally stay away from many sections in Hobby Lobby (like the Chrsitmas aisle). I could end up in the ER (I have, twice) not being able to breath... or worse.
No scents in this house either. Too much sneezing ensues.
I'm kinda weird...I like geranium but, I don't think there is a candle scent.
So, I would choose carnation or rose.
I have a candle now that smells like baking snicker doodles - Joy, my walking friend gave it to me.
I love lilac scent - reminds me of my grandmother - she had lots of lilac bushes!!
I love lilacs. When I was a kid we had a huge lilac bush right by the kitchen, so when I smell them it takes me back.
Lilacs are lovely! I'd probably go with either lavender, gardenia or lily of the valley. 💐
The lilacs are so beautiful, I could almost smell them.
I am currently burning a cinnamon and orange candle. It will need replacing with a more seasonal scent once it's finished. X
The lilac images are so colorful they actually hurt my eyes! Lily of the Valley is my go-to scent. Honeysuckle comes in second. BUT! My VERY FAVORITE is Hoppe's Gun Cleaner! YES! To me it has an almond-like odor. I miss it around here.
Like Diana, I cannot have scented products in my house. Can't use dryer sheets or scented detergent. Chemicals of all sorts can trigger Asthma or worse. I have to try to protect myself from scented candles which are the worst for me.
And, sad to say, our entire world seems to be scented with artificial fragrance (chemicals) and we breathe them in without knowing they are harmful. But I love flowers and the photos of your flowers are so pretty. I bought a pot of tulips this past week with only buds on them. They have bloomed in my little apartment and I enjoy them so much. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
Oh wonderful :-) Lilac. The most beautiful time of spring. And that scent on the lilac bush. Just lovely.
Now I would choose orange, but that's because I've been in the snow... skiing.
dear greeting to you
I can’t wait for my lilacs to bloom but as for a candle scent, I’d say something like Buttercream.
