It will be interesting to see this unfold.
I loved your pun on my blog comment, it is ARRESTING!!
Yes, interesting to see what happens from here! I do have a Twitter account but rarely look at it!
Yep...so sorry been dealing with some things that popped up today: movers, land issues, etc. smiles---ANYWAYS---Musk is da man...now let's see if he will conform to Global demands, wink.
I don't twitter - blogging takes up my time. :)
Yes - this is a good thing!
He's just a man. One hundred years from now no one will know of him. Social media is all too hyped up in my opinion. And, also...I don't think there IS such a thing as "freedom of speech" and no one person should regulate it.
Waiting to see what happens next. I have Twitter account but don't use it to post, only to read once in a while.

Wow, I love your comment!!!!!! It's so full of discussion possibilities!
Wow!!!!
"Social media too hyped up" Yes! I'm only active in Blog Land. But have IG and Twitter, to read certain people. I'm not a social media junkie.
That said...
It is a fact, that Social Media is the driving place, for (lazy) people, to get their information. Thus, it is very, very powerful. Even if WE do not really participate.
Soooooo, how Social Media is run, is very, very important.
Now... For a lively discussion!!!
Ahhhh but, sigh, doubt people will discuss, in a comment. sigh.
OK! I will blog this! With the hope that a lively discussion will happen there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My point is...Elon Musk is what social media IS these days. You can't not see his face on any platform....as the other side of the coin, it could've been an unknown who bought Twitter for a trillion....it's all hype.
Social media is powerful, I agree, but to function thru it hours a day can be harmful. IMO
No Tweeting from me.
I am curious how it will all turn out... time will tell.
Elon is an extremely interesting man and he certainly has some ideas churning around in his brain. I think his name is becoming a household one as so many are talking about him (for better or for worse!).

Elon Musk is well known, because of his purpose, in buying Twitter.
His face everywhere, is not just hype.
"...he feels very strongly about freedom of speech and......... has not liked some of the decisions about people who have been taken off the service.
He isn't just some rich guy, who bought Twitter.
He bought Twitter, with a purpose.
Of course, Social Media is a Sink-Hole of time and attention! It is addictive, and anything which is addictive, is dangerously ridiculous. <---My views of course.
Now, what about your view, that there is no such thing as Freedom of Speech?????
((Did I say, I love this!!!!! Back and forth discussion, on a net site!!!!!!! It's been years, since I have been able to experience it!!!!))

To me seeing his face everywhere IS hype [definition: hype1 --extravagant or intensive publicity or promotion]. Media is saturated with his face. Over exposure in my opinion. He's like a sheep that jumps over the cliff, and all other sheep follow! I can live without seeing him again. I'm tired of his purpose. And his purpose as you state... I stated, could be ANYONE buying twitter. And as I said there is no such thing these days as freedom of speech. Look at TPOUS before Biden...he was banned because of his "freedom" taken away on Twitter. I know there are rules and protocol, and there MUST be moderators [Not one man -even Musk- can be a moderator for hundreds of millions on social media i.e. Twitter...and all the amendments of freedoms seem to be about what the government sees fit; adding more articles in our constitution to appease what Congress deems all for the good of the people. I can't recall who said this [Clarence Darrow?]: If you make more laws, you just have more outlaws... or something similar.
Now, for me, it's time to move on. My end of the conversation is closed. I just cannot state as you did; that he is "THE Man".
