πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘‘πŸ’›They, who 'get it right'πŸ’›πŸ‘‘πŸ˜Š

Being an American, I do not fully understand Royalty.  Nor do I want it here.
πŸ‘‘

But I can appreciate people doing their Job well.  And these people do, do their Job well.

William and Catherine.

He being the Heir to the Thrown, and she will be Queen.

πŸ‘‘

For now, and many years to come, they simply do their Job for "The Firm", as the Royal Family is called.

Above, an example of a ritzy occasion, the UK premier of "Top Gun."   Dressed "to the 9's" and gorgeous.

But most of their occasions are less ritzy, and entail smiling, smiling, smiling...  Making 'small talk' with loads of people..  Being compassionate when needed, and talking to children and holding babies, and doing all and anything, which each "Job for the Royal Family", calls for.

πŸ‘Ά

Then...... actually first, comes their own family.   Catherine had 3 babies, and each pregnancy was difficult for her.   Raising happy children, in the 'fish bowl' of Royal Life, is no small task, in itself.

πŸ’›

She is always at her best.   Always seeming to enjoy each of her duties.   Quietly making all the 'right moves,' which being in a Royal Family demands.  (All this deferring-to- the-higher-Royal, is just soooo weird to me.   But!  It's their life.)

 πŸ˜‡

She never airs 'dirty laundry' in public.   Unlike Harry/Meghan, who are the *Official King and Queen of Airing Dirty Laundry in Public."

πŸ’›

Soooo, I don't understand or want a Royal Family, but I appreciate the members of the UK Royal Family, who quietly do their duty.

 πŸ’›

And I πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“πŸ’“ seeing her fashion choices!   😊

 πŸ’›

And though I probably should be ashamed 😳 I also love the Royal Family Soap Opera!!!!!!   >,-))))))))))    The Good, the Bad, the Steadfast, the Gorgeous, the Children of the Next Generation, The Past, The Present, the Possibilities of the Future....

Anyone else have *Guilty Love* of the Royal Family Soap Opera ?

😊

😊

  😊

Yes, I must admit I enjoy it. And I also agree with everything you say about it! I did not know her pregnancies were difficult! There are so many royal family rules for dressing that it would make your head spin. So that really limits her fashion choices. They even have to sit a certain way. Your header is gorgeous, and really pops!!

Must be honest, I'm not crazy about Charles & Camilla, but I do like William and Kate. I liked Diana too. I've been interested in British royalty since Henry VIII. Have collected many books on the subject. (And Winston Churchill too)

I'm sure it is much harder than it appears to be part of the Royal Family. :)
I haven never even heard of the soap opera.

The premier of Top Gun.. who knew that would be a hit in the UK. ;-)
I remember the first Top Gun, when Tom Cruise was just starting out.

I think the Kennedy family was the closest thing to a royal family we've had here in the US.

I have a lot of respect for much of the work the Royal Family undertake. William and Catherine toured NZ a few years ago, and what left the biggest impression with me was that they didn't want to partake in all the fancy luncheons the different Councils put on each day - they were quite happy to be given a selection of sandwiches in a private room! They are very realistic people and I think they are doing a fantastic job. Pity not all the Family are like that.

You know I'm right there with you. I agree that I don't want royalty but I am fascinated by it. I also agree that Willian and Catherine do it right, and we've discussed our mutual feelings for Megan...

I admire the queen. Beyond her I have no time for any of them.

Heir to the Thrown?? I admire William and Kate but not the others EXCEPT Queen Elizabeth. She really shows an excellent example of royalty and is a beautiful woman.

I admire the Queen very much, and as a Canadian, am happy to have a constitutional monarchy. However, I am saddened by all the family drama that the Queen has had to deal with in recent years. William and Catherine display such care and are so classy - I admire them, too. And I love Catherine's fashion!
