...his filly stablemate Nest ridden by his brother Jose Oritz...
to capture Saturday’s 154th renewal of the Grade 1, $1.5 million Belmont Stakes
😊
Hooray for Irad Ortiz Jr. winning the Belmont!
And hooray for his little 'bro', Jose, for bringing the filly Nest in, for second place.
If she can do this well, against "the boys," she will be one to watch in the future.
😊
BTW, with all the Awfull-ness going on in our Beloved Country and the world, and with nothing I can do about it, till next Elections.... I hope you understand why I try to put my attention on things like racing, and other not-really-deep-or-intellectual topics.
😊
OK!!!!
Back to *Regular Programing* tomorrow.

Weeeeee! Great race....
Yes! we all need a break from the awful things in the news. It is good to think of small happy things. Your roses are beautiful! Yes, we do live in a house. The Geese are in front of the town homes behind us.
Oh, loved this! Great captures, you can feel the excitement.

I love horse racing...always tell hubby i.missed my calling. Not as a jockey but as a groom or trainer...lol
A friend of ours owns 5 racing horses and they run at a near by racetrack in bucks county pa. My husband will be going to one of his races for the first time tomorrow.
