In it, he speaks much, about making his heir William, the new Prince of Wales. And "..how With Catherine beside him, our new Prince and Princess of Wales will, I know, continue to inspire and lead our national conversations, helping to bring..."
And at the end of this long paragraph, about William and Catherine, he adds... One line.... " I want also to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas."
Note, please. Said by the new Monarch. Just "Harry and Meghan"... NO TITLES. "Their lives overseas."

But read all the US headlines, and all you see is, how their children will now be called Prince and Princess, because of some old law.

Royalty is royalty...look at Henry VIII ....it's all on the whim of the throne. And media? Several months ago our media coverage was perhaps Charles will be skipped and William will be king....now, that went over like a fart in a wind storm!!!
I know exactly what you mean about reporters putting their own spin on things. I noticed the same when it was being reported that William would automatically become Prince of Wales. Not true, as it is a title that can only be conferred by a ruling monarch and is not inherited. There are a lot of newspapermen who should verify facts before spouting off their opinions.
I never thoght of it this way.
This is exactly why we all need to form our own opinions and not be so influenced by what we read from others, especially by the media!
I haven't trusted American reporters for a few years now. I miss the times when we had people that reported the FACTS and you never knew what their person opinions were. They were unbiased.
Now entire 'news' shows are the hosts spouting out their personal opinions and views.
All the more reason to NOT pay attention to what the MSM says! Spins, lies, coverups, bias and double standards!
I respected the Queen for the woman she was, not the monarchy. I have no interest in the rest of them. Reporters will do what they do.

Well those tots may be called Prince and Princess but most likely will not get the HRH titles, which the old law specifically says they will get if their grandfather is the sovereign. But why should they get those titles? Their lib-loon parents still have theirs but are forbidden to use them (and they shouldn't have them at all), so why do those kids, growing up in California, need them? Ginge and Whinge claim it's about the paid-for-by-the-British "security" it would entitle them to, but it's really about MONEY because everything to those two is about money. I think what Charles said was the very least he COULD say, and although I can't stand him, I thought his speech was nice. I loved the Queen and I miss her. xoxo
