I have noticed that many bloggers, reply to comments, right in their own blog comments place. My view is... Instead of doing that... Go to the blog of the commenter and read and comment there. We all like comments, in our own blog. This seems to be a win/win situation.

The illustration on the left, is so very lovely. The soft shade of pink/coral of the dress. And the complimentary soft gray/green of the other colors. And oh to have the figure, to wear such a gown!

And to live in a time, when such, were worn.

It was so nice to meet you through your visit to my blog! I'm sorry the comments aren't published automatically but there was too much spam to keep it like that so now I do have to look at them before publishing them. And the weekend happened to be extra busy with family visiting for Father's Day so I didn't check them right away.
I do try always to visit bloggers who leave a comment. Sometimes I also reply to the comments on my blog because it seems more like a conversation that way. I know some bloggers both reply on their post comments, visit the commenter's blog AND email. I admire them for that but it seems like a lot of time.
I've talked to some bloggers who no longer blog and we've talked about wishing there could be certain busy times of the year, like before a holiday, where bloggers could just visit each other and enjoy the posts but not leave a comment. We would probably all post a lot more if there were accepted times like that. I don't know how bloggers who receive a ton of comments ever return all the visits--and of course, many of them don't try.
I know of quite a few former bloggers who now are only on Instagram. It's hard to balance living life with blogging about it, isn't it? For me anyway. Thank you for blogging about this question. I've always wanted to do that and find out how my blogging friends feel about it. I added you to my blogroll so hopefully I will catch your new posts!
