What a talent …
It is very nice when you receive a beautifully written letter, especially if you are isolated ...
This man has talent and loves his family and friends!
Thanks for sharing!

I believe that good letter writing is an art; and a lost art, at that. I used to love buying pretty stationary and cards, but have kind of let it go when the computer age came. But there is really something special about reading a beautiful letter that you can hold in your hands. Now with Covid, we all need to resurrect this!!

My sister sent me a postcard each week of the shut down. She would write a short childhood memory. It was fun to receive snail mail and share memories too.

I wrote letters to my siblings, my children and my grandchildren during the time we were in complete lockdown. Then I wrote to friends and loved ones. This morning I wrote letters to two of my sisters. Never underestimate the power of the written word.
This was such a beautiful post and encourages us to continue to reach out to those we love.....

I was writing a comment here yesterday when my computer froze! I had to force quit and let it sleep overnight.

I have a large cardboard box sitting by my chair that contains letters sent to my mother over the years--many from myself while our children were young, but others from her sisters and from her mother, my grandmother. I treasure them! And I've begun passing on letters from her sisters to her to their own children. I'm afraid I'm not very good about handwritten letters anymore other than birthday cards. The internet just makes it so much easier.

My 7 year old grand daughter and I write each other during this pandemic. I miss seeing her so much, but her mom is a nurse who works with Covid patients so they stay away for the time being. We do Skype! I will keep all her letters as a reminder of this time in our lives. I also write a friend of mine who lives alone in another state and although we do text, I know she likes to receive the mail. (And I also have my dad's old love letters to my mom... handwriting back then was so beautiful - now cursive is hardly used.)
