For a long time, I have loved to pay attention to the Changing Seasons. I'm not a Pagan, but when I discovered that they have special Days, for noting the Changing Seasons, I was thrilled. So I use them. To note the Turning of the Wheel of the Year.

The beginning of each season is marked by a Cross-Quarter Festival. Lammas was August 1st, for Autumn. The height of each season is marked by a Quarter-Point... The Autumn Equinox is September 20th~23rd.
September 2nd - 3rd is the Full Corn Moon. So this is something to look forward too, and remember to look for. ~smile~

I, like so many others, love this whole Autumn Season. And noting these Festivals, makes sure I enjoy it, all the more.

Our get~rid~of~mice~man came on Monday. He checked everything, including the attic. He set traps, where we could not get to. Will return, on Wednesday, to check them. He will do this, more than once. Then, when all/any mice are eliminated, he will do the outside sealing.

Looking for mice droppings, every morning, spoils my delight with Autumn. Hope this will give me back, peace of mind. And our temps are going back down again..... More reason to do this now.

Yes, the seasonal celebratons are sure something to lookforward to, so are the different full moon names! I LOVE your pictures today, as usual! This book, do you have it? Have you red it? It looks so good! I am going to Amazon and see what they say about it. This kitty looks just like our Simba.
I just ordered this book!!! Can't wait to get it!
May as well embrace the seasons and enjoy the passage of time! Good luck with the mice.
Glad your exterminator has things started and will hopefully be finished up before autumn arrives :)
I love your choice of pics...I am so ready for fall. we had a hot day yesterday and another one showed up today. 92° but felt like 104...the humidity is terrible. I hope you have success with getting rid of the mice.
Good luck with the mice! Autumn is my favorite season, and the new year starts in September for me. :)
SUCH a delightful, lovely, and much-anticipated season! Autumn fills me with joy. I love the cooler mornings, the falling leaves, the decorations, and the clothes. I just have a ball with all of it. xoxo
Glad the exterminator is starting to do the work required. I always thought it would be interesting to be Jewish with their different festivals.

I love that first picture so much! May try to replicate it but will never be able to bring it off so beautifully. The copper tea kettle held by the woman in the lovely oatmeal colored sweater is lovely too. These have reminded me to take time to go through my own autumn pinterest board and feed my autumn hunger. I have a card taped to a bookshelf with all the moon names listed in Gladys Taber's books so of course think of the September moon as the Harvest Moon but Corn Moon is lovely too. I hate mice in the house but we can usually count on one or two getting in when cold weather comes even though RH has closed every single tiny opening he can find. I'm not at all soft hearted about their cuteness. I want them dispatched quickly!
Hi,
I am ordering the book you shared. Thank you!!
We are having a hot, hot, hot day. I am looking forward to Autumn and in hopes of a cool down.
