Wondering........❓❓❓❓❓❓

Best wishes to all, who have been, and still are, in the path of this terrible hurricane.   ~sigh~

It seems, that we need to face facts, that ordinary homes, are not going to be sufficient, in hurricane prone areas.    All our pretty homes, are not capable of surviving the wind, storm surge, heavy rains, flooding, etc.  This has been so, for some time, in coastal areas.    But now, this issue is even more widespread.    Whatever the cause, the effects can not be ignored.

Wouldn't it be good, to think on this topic?  To devise some sort of directives, to mandate, that new housing has to be hurricane proof?    Just my musing...  How do you feel, about this topic?

I have been gathering Autumnal pictures.   And there are so many more.    So I figured, I'd better start posting some!!!!

Isn't this the sweetest effect?   But honestly, in how many places, would all those little pumpkins, stay in place, night after night?    Even in a very safe little town, it seems, they would just be too much of a temptation.....  🎃

What a delightful shopping area this must be...  Everything is set for Autumn.   But one can imagine it, all done~up for Christmas 🎄 too.   😊

from the heat of summer.
One ripens the apples,
the other turns them to cider."

Your pictures today ae amazing! I would so love to go in this little store and shop. Just as well, we would go bankrupt! I love all these pretty houses, and the pies are just too pretty to eat! YES, I think that in tornado & hurricane areas, there should be a building code.

I've read that they've stopped giving people money to rebuild in hurricane-prone areas, now they're trying to help people relocate.

I love your pictures!

The leaves are looking battered now. The temperature has dropped too. Autumn is nigh.

I love all the photos so much! It puts me in the mood for fall for sure. You would think there would at least be more codes in hurricane prone areas. For coastal properties I don't think there would be any way to make the completely hurricane proof. Have a great evening :)

I love the autumn scenes...fall is my favorite season. I like a long, slow season. I would love to go shopping in that one place, too.

Autumn is the BEST! Perhaps, God's reward to us for having endured Summer? I hope Heaven Looks just like your Photo #2!

I enjoyed the scenes and I love the quote.

You have gathered together delightful photos. Your idea of building houses to withstand hurricanes makes sense, we do that in earthquake zones.

I don't know if you go back to read my replies on my blog but wanted to let you know the source for my photo is right above the photo. It's a featured blogger and the photo can be clicked on to go directly to the recipe as well. It says that on my post but you must have missed it. Didn't want you to think I'd ever use someone's photo without giving credit!

Gorgeous photos! I love the little pumpkins on the fence but I agree that it would be too tempting (especially for mischievous children) not to knock them down. I think they were placed there just for that beautiful picture. Wonderful quote by Jane Hirshfield, one of my favorite poets. xoxo
