Autumn Time of Year, brings personl changes....🍁 😊 🍁

This week, our night temps are in the 50's, 40's, and 30's.   I had to turn the heat on, in the morning.   Of course, with sun shining in, later...   I could turn it down again.  🍁   But.....🍁   So it begins....  Autumn is truly with us.  🍂
🍁✨
Wondering, if you have turned heat on yet, where you live?   Also wondering, will you turn it on, when it becomes quite cool?   Or will you try to "last a little longer"?   ~smile~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 As I have said, more than once, I am not Pagan.
But every Autumn,
I am drawn to pretty, cozy "Witchy Things"... 😊
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And I love the Art of Lady Viktoria...  Her paintings are lovely, and her witches are not "scary", as many such are.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Late Autumn, but pretty, not scary.
.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I want to imagine myself, baking something decadent, in the cozy, lit only by candles, kitchen of a Witch's cottage.
.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am a person, who needs to let sunshine pour into my rooms.   Too many days of dark, rainy, gloomy weather, are depressing.  🍁🍁🍁  But!  When the weather cools, I like early twilight, darker "corners", pools of inner light, which seem cozy to me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And let's face it, the above, describes the usual idea, of a Witch's Cottage!!!!!!   😊😊😊   Candle lit...  Candles do not give much light...   But coziness permeates.    At least to me.  😊
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I understand that my view, of this, is not the view, of many of my Dear Readers.    I also understand, that they often give their personal religious views.   Which would not allow anything Witchy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But I too, have the right, to post what I want, in my blog.  And to repeat, mine is not anything religious.

"A hidden fire burns perpetually upon the
hearth of the world..... In autumn this great conflagration
becomes especially manifest.  Then the flame that is
 slowly and mysteriously consuming every green thing
bursts into vivid radiance."

I am NOT one to judge! Your thoughts on this are so interesting! And I applaud you for not going with the bloody and scary! The photos are so pretty and cozy. Of course I love the one with the cats. And the little family in the nest. The first thing I do when getting up is open the curtains! I hate dark evenings, and want light most of the time. Yes, we have needed to turn on the heat maybe three times so far, as it has gotten cold at night.

I like the art. I am checking out Lady Viktoria.
I like cozy too, I am slowly starting to transition our home from summer to autumn.
We hold out on the turning on the heat.. until we have too. Hee Hee! But we did have to turn on the fireplace for two evenings, to get the chill out. ;-)

I love all the art and photos you chose for today. It definitely sound like fall has arrived there. Of course no change here yet. Have a great weekend :)

Very pretty your autumnal pictures. Lady Viktoria’s art is beautiful and as you say, pretty not scary. We have turned our air conditioning off but have not had to turn the heating on. In fact, we have opened all the windows and that has been lovely. At times I enjoy sitting in a cozy corner with the lights off and though I don’t have one now, memories of a crackling fireplace, with a throw over my lap and a warm drink in my hands. I enjoyed your post very much, along with the quote by Hugh Macmillan. Wishing you a very happy weekend :)

No heat just yet in Alabama. In fact, our central A/C's still busy cycling day and night. I seriously NEED that coffee mug in the first picture. Isn't it curious how certain inanimate objects call out to our hearts?

Yes, it is getting to be a cozy time of year. Interesting artwork. We have not turned out heat on yet, but our temps are cooling and I bet we will need heat before too long. Have a good weekend. P.S. Yes, I am using the new blogger for my posts now. It did take a little getting used to.

you go girl! so many christians don't realize that it started with them...but,I digress. I love witches so much (nor am I pagan or wiccan), I collect witches!! And each year I add to my collection...posting photos of them in my blog.

As for turning on heat ...we still have 99° temps and rarely turn on furnance, ever!

What a friendly, inviting post! I love it when you write from the heart and don't feel you have to suppress yourself.

We haven't turned on the heat yet, but the nights are getting cooler.

Oh, I do love a little bewitching coziness, too. I am not pagan either, but the autumn sure draws me to candles, smudge-swirling smoke, and night air bonfires... I have had a few lectures, too, from very well-meaning friends about my decor and my Autumn witches... I must admit in the past I couldn't accept the comments with a lot of grace. I maybe have Cassie Nightingale to thank for my new, more gentle approach to criticism... You do you! She is a fun one! Love the photos on this post!

Strange how some people insist that all the world thinks like them, yet who are they to say what is 'good' and what is not? I'm glad you have posted about something YOU like, it has nothing to do with anyone else.
