Of Pie, and Crisp, and Wisdom....😊🍁😊🍂😊

Over the weekend, I make an Apple Pie for my husband, with my homemade crust.

And I made an Apple Crisp for myself.  It had to be Gluten Free, so I used crushed corn flakes, in place of the flour in the Crisp.  We both enjoyed our desserts!!!!!  😋😊

The Autumnal Equinox "draws nigh"...  😊  My calendar says it is on Sept. 22nd.   So tonight, Sept.21st, is the Eve of the Autumnal Equinox.

"Autumnal equinox, two moments in the year when the Sun is exactly above the Equator and day and night are of equal length..." ...

One of the things the Autumnal Equinox can remind us of, is to bring some balance into our lives.  And to take ownership of the direction we are heading.  To stop just going~on~auto~pilot.   Take some time to examine how we are living, and try to add some more Wisdom, to our path.
*
Above, is pictured a wise old woman.  😊  Perhaps listen to the Wisdom of an elder, a bit more, than we usually do....

This is such good advice and timely. I think I've been coasting some lately and want to do some of the creative things I've put on the back burner. Of course we hike more when the weather cools so I look forward to that. That's creative too, isn't it? lol Hugs!

Yummy...Both look great. I would have to have them warm with vanilla ice cream. Love the saying by John Burroughs. So true. Have a wonderful week

I love the quote. I'm in the autumn of my life and the days are indeed full of light and color. Even though my days are beautiful, no one would ever call me that! 😛

Yummy on the desserts!! I wouldn't have thought of corn flakes for a pie crust :) Worldly wisdom comes with age. I really would like more spiritual wisdom myself, but I know who I can ask for it :)

Oh, those pies! Booth look delicious. If you were standing too close with them, I might gobble your arm off at the elbow! ha ha!!! I am excited about Autumn... I guess she officially arrives at 9:31 AM EDT.... but I am celebrating at midnight! I liked your idea of being mindful... It makes all the difference. I miss the older voices in my life... I am concerned that I am that older voice!!! not necessarily the voice of wisdom but... by default. Carol Channing told her interviewer not to call her the grand dame of comedy... She said, "Ohh... I just outlived the others!" Hugs!
