πŸŽ„MemoriesπŸŽ„

This photo above, and my present Header, are from way back in 2012.   When our youngest Grand son was a wee little one.    The Header is of him, and "Pop", playing with the little train, which went around the Christmas Tree.    πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„    And this photo above, is of him playing with toys.   Other than the old Disney movie characters little dolls (left over from older Grand daughters),  and the old cell phone which didn't work any more,  the rest of the toys, were made by my husband.  All of wood, durable and safe.

Another old photo, of Christmas decorations, back then...

πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

And our Christmas Angel, back then, but we still have her.
πŸŽ„πŸŽ„πŸŽ„   And I thought I would post some other pretty Christmas quotes, which I have not used yet...

"With visions of sugar plum fairies dancing in our heads, we are perfectly at home in the dreamy world of whirling, twirling Mirlitons and arabesquing Dew drops from the classic Nutcracker story."
From an old Dec. edition of "Victoria" magazine

"The holly's up, the house is all bright,
The tree is ready, the candles alight:
Rejoice and be glad, all children tonight!"
~P. Cornelius

"Christmas is here,
Merry old Christmas.
Gift-bearing,
heart-touching,
Joy-bringing Christmas,
Day of grand memories,
King of the year!"
~Washington Irving

"Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childish days; that can recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth; and transport the sailor and the traveller, thousands of miles away, back to his own fire-side and his quiet home!"
~~Charles Dickens,
"The Pickwick Papers", 1836
~-~-~-~-~
"Chill December brings the sleet,
Blazing fire and Christmas treat."
~~Mother Goose

 "Heap on more wood!~~The wind is chill;
But let it whistle as it will,
We'll keep our Christmas merry still."
~~Sir Walter Scott

Precious! The train around the tree would enchant any little boy, from eight months to eighty-plus years. My TG loves toy trains, although he owns none. He dreams about them. Your quotes are wonderful. I see Christmas through a decidedly Dickensian lens. So very literary! xoxo
