I put my blog back to "Beside a babbling brook" blog.  It looks like, we can change the name of our blog.   But..........

Old sayings.....  Colloquialisms....   I love them!!!!     I believe that "Heavens to Betsy!" is a Southern saying.    But growing up, here in the North, I heard it as "Heavens to Betsy, and 8 hands around."  ✨✨✨✨  Have you ever heard that...?   With the "8 hands around" added?

-happy sigh-  Isn't that the most precious illustration?  Mother and children playing in the crisp Autumn air.....   An Apple Pie cooling on the window sill.....    A pumpkin for decoration....   On a table inside, books, a cup of coffee, writing paper waiting to become a note to a friend....
