πŸ’¨πŸ‚πŸ’¨This and that and the other thing... πŸ’¨πŸ‚πŸ’¨

Our 63rd Wedding Anniversary was Nov. 8th.    We went out to eat, and when we got there, we discovered, that that restaurant was closed on Mondays!   Should have looked at their web site.   ~~~~    Soooooo, we went home and had delivered pizza.   LOL    We'll go out to eat, another time.   When it is sure to be open!   -grin-

Ginny said...  "...you make fall seem not so bad after all! You are like my little fall elf, spreading glitter every day." πŸ‚ 😊 🍁    Which was an adorable comment!     ~~~~      But today, I have some illustrations of the duller part of November.    Which we are all going to experience, eventually.

I am going to return my 4 library books, and probably not get any more, for awhile.   I have plenty of books, with my Kindle Unlimited subscription.   When I want to read, they are there.     ~~~~    My last library books were a 'bust,' too.   -sigh-       ~~~~   Plus, I have to do that ridiculous masking, to go in and get them.    All in all, it's just not worth it.

Finally "bit the bullet" as the old saying goes, and called "The Maids."  I'm just not doing the necessary housework.  Maybe if I get it all spick and span, I can get going again.

I like the saying, in English novels....   "She had a woman who comes and 'does' for her."   Love that idea.   But such women, are "scarce as hen's teeth," here and now.

Happy belated Anniversary!! Congratulations on 63 years. That is quite an accomplishment. We will hit 32 years this year. Seems like so long but has flashed by in a blink at the same time.

I think your pictures today are lovely as always.

The trees are at their peak here. Soon they will all begin to fall.

Have a beautiful day!!

November is settling in alright. We can still enjoy a few splashes of colour though.

Oh I am so sorry you were disappointed about going out to eat! A belated but no less sincere Happy Anniversary to you and Ed! I know it was a wonderful day for you, despite the mixup. And yes, November (well, not ours; it was nearly 80 degrees here yesterday and I had to postpone a photo shoot because it was just too hot and bright) is the time when it all descends in to wintriness ... although for us, that is more likely to happen in mid December. Every year I remember the Christmas of 1982, when we lived in the Chicagoland area. It was 60 degrees on Christmas Day. I have a picture of our little Stephanie standing in an open doorway, looking out at the springlike day. It is such a vivid memory! BTW that last quote is pure brilliance! xoxo

I agree with Ginny. :-)

The Gales of November are here!
Our son Sam plans to go to Lake Superior this weekend. The waves are suppose to be the same as when the Edmund Fitzgerald sunk!!

Happy Anniversary!!! 63 years is a true celebration.

I like the Henry Rollins quote!

We've had that experience for dining out too. lol

I have a fetish...buy books, have them delivered to the house.

You say these pics are the dull part of November, but they are colorful and beautiful. I especially love the church through the window. Your header is beautiful and makes me think of spring.

Congratulations on your anniversary - 63 years together is awesome :)
When I first left home, I boarded with a lady who grew up in a household with servants. She had a 'weekly' who came and 'did' for her. She used to do all the housework and cook a roast dinner for that evening. Quite a revelation to a fresh-from-the-country young girl!

Happy Anniversary!! That's a good long time.
I laughed when I read that the restaurant was closed and you had pizza instead. We've done that exact thing one time! :)
Love the picture looking out of the window!!

Congatulations on your 63rd Anniversary! We made it to our 60th. No masks necessary at our library and I do like to pick and choose my reading materials. Glad it is so close. Sad that a granddaughter whose occupation is house cleaning lives so far away. I would have her here very often! She actually is in great demand and has more than she can handle already, though. I just couldn't tolerate another doing it for me. I'm way too fussy! Hey! Pine cones plummeting on the metal roof are now a common sound of November here!
