🌲 January...Stuff... 🌲

I love to look at pictures of 'After Christmas' decorating.  I would be delightful to have an accumulation of 'January Decor,' to take out.   -smile-

But I don't...    I don't choose to spend that much money.  Nor do I want to have to store any more 'Decorations,' than I already do.    In fact I have gotten rid of much.  If it isn't used, it goes.   If it's too much, to bring up and down, it goes.

One thing I am noticing in these photos is...   So much permanent background of white!    What if you don't live in a nearly totally white house?

These things, including the dog, are cozy and adorable.  But I don't have white walls.   Me-thinks these staged photos, are made easy, by placing them in all white backgrounds.  But, what good does this do, for normal people???  -grin-

They sure are all white backgrounds! I guess that is the most wintry color. I love your header, it reminds me of Thomas Kinkade.

I love the first picture. It reminds me of the house in the movie The Holiday. Such a charming little house, perfect for hibernating.
Love the quotes!! Enjoy your weekend!!

Yes, white backgrounds seem to be the style right now! It does make the accessories pop though! Love the pictures!

It's nice to be at home with books on the bookshelves...and ebooks on the IPAD! I don't decorate much any more either. I like things less cluttered and more manageable! Happy weekend!

Love the Jane Smiley quote best!
As for white everything, I had it that way once but wanted color. Now, I wanna go back to all white walls. Go figure.

I love decorating for different seasons, but don't have much for winter. I do have a lot of white in my house though. These pictures have cute ideas!

Well all I can add is that living in a totally brown interior, white can be found at this time of year, outside. I still haven't put away my ceramic tree because the colorful little lights at night make me feel happy.

I think a lot of those, if not all would look good with a colored background.

Well I sure am glad I dropped by today because I have the same line of thinking! I don't need one more decoration in the house....I promised that this will be the year to really go through all the bins stored in the attic and if I have not used it in years. I'm donating! And....it must be that I am aging since I don't follow the trend of an all white home....go figure.....Sending warm hugs!

The bland neutrals are Instagram stylish, but I don't aspire to be Instagram stylish. All of those houses look alike to me. I do not live in or on social media, so I use color. I do like a neutral background in some rooms, because they make them appear larger. But it depends on the space, and overwhelmingly I opt for color. It has more personality. xoxo
