🌸 This and that, before I look at.... 🌸

If one is to work on keeping a "Deep Pantry," they had best check expiration dates.   -sigh-    I didn't, and lost some items.   So stupid and silly!   Grrrrr......

Link
Keeping a running list of food needed, on next order....   I never seem to remember every item.    I know, "they say" to make a complete master list.   Print out copies, and use them.    But our printer doesn't work.<---Great excuse, hu?  -grin-

The younger 'girls' 🐔 next door, are laying happily.   Eggs for both families!!!!    Their eggs are shades of blue.   -smile-

Snow expected tonight and tomorrow.  Some of you have already gotten this storm, I imagine.

Love it when I make a Tuna Casserole.   It lasts for 2 meals.    No cooking for the 2nd meal!!!!!

🌸

And now I will look at what is happening in the world.  :-((

That last line. Yes! Not a happy activity!

Your tuna casserole looks delicious. I wish my hubby liked tuna. Maybe I should just make some for me?

Go you on pantry prepping! A good thing with things being a bit up in the air right now. Take care!

Keeping an eye on the pantry is crucial. I wrestle with let's not shop and eat up what we have and things are going up and items are on low supply so let's shop.
I think now is an especially good time to stay stocked. The news is NOT good.

Your tuna casserole looks awesome, maybe you will post the recipe? I love the little gnome in the snowy forest. This pantry has so many things in it, yet it is somehow NEAT! I think that is an art. I check the expiration dates on all my foods about once a month. Wish we had a pantry!!

I love those leftover days too. Or should I say days with leftovers.

Back in the day, before I had a printer, I made out a master list by hand, then went to the library to make several copies. Because I could only shop once a month (money once a month... still like that now), the copies lasted for a while. It used to be 10¢ a copy, so a whole year's worth was $1.20. Now I do print a copy as needed on my own printer; I keep my master list on my external hard drive. Libraries nowadays have computers you can use, even for making documents... maybe you could go make your master list and print several copies there, lots of folks do that. Just a thought. :) I will eat tuna a LOT, but stopped liking it in a casserole for some odd reason. Mostly now I just make tuna salad sandwiches, or put it on salads, or make tuna patties, but that's it. Well, I will gobble down a package of tuna... hehehe, I like plain tuna, what can I say. // The world is going bazonkers. *sigh* // Sending you many hugs and blessings!

I have always made shopping lists and then I don't forget something important and it also makes me try very hard not to buy junk foods. Nice eggs! I do like tuna casserole.

That sure is a fantastic pantry.
I love my pantry and we keep lots on hand, making sure to put the most recent items up front.
Tuna casserole is a favorite at our house. But funny thing I started using canned chicken instead of the tuna but still call it tuna casserole.

Your tuna casserole looks yummy, and always nice when you don't have to cook for a night.
About expired foodstuffs: I was given a chocolate mint biscuit a while ago when out visiting and thought it tasted a little stale. But I am a polite person and ate it up without saying anything. Then I was told the biscuits had been bought cheaply at a bargain shop because they were past their best-by-date, which happened to have been nearly a year ago! I didn't die, but not what I would normally eat! :)

I've done the same with prepping and not watching expiration dates.
Very sad what is happening in our world right now.

I love a good tuna casserole. The snowy image is so pretty. We keep a fairly deep pantry here and always have. Watching those expiry dates is important.

The world is a sad and broken place. Lots to pray about.

Hello Dear Friend,
Well, my last comment on our blog was.. I thought it would be smoke and mirrors.. how wrong I was.
Praying for our world. I could talk with you more about things, but I best not get on my soapbox.. all I will say is, because we the US are no longer producing energy here (the smart thing to do would be to open that keystone pipe line) I am very worried what the price of gas will be. We actually depend on Russian oil!!!

Sorry to have vented.

Love the blue eggs.

I have thrown out a couple of things as the expiration date was past a couple of months. Need to go back in and see if there is anything else but more often than not, I do use everything in good time. I hope I haven't jinxed myself. I would like to make your tuna fish casserole, it looks delicious. Always enjoy the pictures you use, delightful to look at. Hope you don't get heavy snow. We have had a lot of rain today. Have a great weekend!

That is a cool looking pantry! I'm sure I have some expired stuff in mine as we speak! Love tuna casserole, my husband does not though so I rarely make it!
