🌼🌱🌼What~think~you, pray tell???🌼🌱🌼

Not everyone who reads here, is "A Woman Of A Certain Age,"  old.   πŸ˜‰   But some of us are.

"To Age Joyfully" certainly sounds like a nice idea.    Actually, to live one's life, as joyfully as possible, at any age, sounds like a nice idea.

But we all know, that such, is not guaranteed, at any age.

Soooo, how about trying to do, what we can do, especially when we are old, to help us live a pleasant life?

What do you think of the suggestions, in the above picture?

To me, they all sound good, except that "Have A Purpose" thing...    For older years...   Why have something which you need to *get up on a soapbox* about, in later life?  By old age, I prefer to let someone else holler and march and carry placards.  πŸ˜‰

But if you still want to be Active for a Cause in old age, tell us why.  No one way, is the "only right way," for all.

Soooo, what~think~you, about all the suggestions, in the picture on top of this post????

I think that at this stage, the less advice I get, the better ... haaahahaa! Because we are all going to do exactly as we please, which is fine as long as we realize that actions have consequences! But life is too long not to enjoy it. xoxo

I think most of them are great! However, "start a business" and "learn a new language", I think can pretty frustrating if you are very old.

P.S. Lemonlicious blog!!! It cheers me up, and I can almost smell them.

I mainly want to keep active and engaged and curious as I age. I want to keep learning.

I've watched my Mom loose interest in life and I do not want that for myself.

I think those are all good suggestions but not always easy! The only thing I for sure do is keep active so I stay active!

Lots of good advice here, but easier said than done, I'm thinking!

I say, at my age don't deny yourself pleasure at any stage. Do what you want, when you want. Even if at 80, jump from a plane (with a parachute of course) if you want...eat a bucket load of greasy fries, appreciate life no matter ....

Glad that you shared this. It is great advice but at this stage of my life, I do pick and choose what I want to do. My husband is learning French, and I enjoy picking up a few phrases on Google translate. They do say learning another language is great exercise for the brain, and as long as we don't add any pressure of doing it at light-speed, like we used to at school, then I'm all for it. Helping others is what most of us do I think. I definitely try to count my blessings. A friend of mine not much younger than me just jumped out of an airplane!!! No thank you but I pat her on the back for doing it. I could go on and on but better stop now.

I just say do what you want or feel like doing, when you want or feel like doing, and IF you want or feel like doing---and, of course, SHARE!!SHARE!!

When I see my parents active in their community, volunteering, creating, and staying active (85 and 88), I know that's what I want. We never know what life will bring, and I'm less about all the lists and do this and do that. Stay as healthy as possible, engage with others, and be grateful.

Some of these I do, some of them I wish I did do...we all have to do the best we can.
