I took a Blogging Break, to get a rhythm, in time spent on blogging, and on doing other "Life Things." I do not seem to have found that rhythm.
I love Blogging. I also need to do other "Life Things." Something has to give, in some way.
Possibility...... Blog, when I have something to share. But do not *HAVE* to comment in Dear Blogger Commenter's Blogs, every day.
This is hard for me! If someone bothers to comment on my blog, I feel a polite obligation, to always comment on theirs.
But I have to make some change...
Stop Blogging.
Or, Blog in a different way.

You are my Dear Readers.
I ask please, for your choice.
πΈπ±πΌπ±πΌπ±πΈ
1.) Stop blogging, because it is taking too much time?
2.) Keep blogging, without having to return comments, every day?
3.) Turn my Comments off, so no one will feel an obligation to comment here?
πΈπ±πΈπ±πΈπ±πΈ
Please.....
Give me your Choice.
Thank you. π

Blogging is something we do for ourselves, and it must fit our lives, not the other way around. I vote for #2. There are days when I don't visit the blogs of everyone who comments, that's for certain! I don't read blogs every day. As you've said, real life is what really matters.
Well...since I am one who forgets to comment or return comments etc...(just keeping it real)--I say 2 or 3---but blog if you want to. Comment or reply if you want too...I personally do not get offended etc. one when doesn't etc. Just my personal thoughts...blog if you want or feel the need too and the same with replying. Grin.
Personally (also lol), I blog because that is how my friendships are, that is how we keep up with another. On second thought, isn't that sad? (grin)--if you like, we can email too. smiles
The 2nd choice with a little twist...I reply to my comments in MY blog. Then visit when time allows. But, I have also stopped blogging but once or twice a week. NOT every day. 2 days a week (one day only on my bird photo blog) is plenty of blogging in my opinion.
Lovely header!! Well, I don't want you to stop blogging, your posts are wonderful. Plus, if you stop, you will lose all your followers that it took so long to get. Turning off comments may be frustrating for those who want to say something to you, or keep in touch. So I vote to keep the lines of communication open, and only post as you have the time and material.
I think it's all a personal choice. You have to do what feels right for you and what works for you.
I only blog 2-3 times a week and have a handful of blogs that I routinely follow. I wouldn't have balance if I tried to do any more.
I blog mainly for me. "Meeting" and talking to others is a bonus that I enjoy.
Whatever you think works for you I will respect. Good luck with your decision.
I'd say definitely keep blogging as long as you enjoy doing it. I always find it very frustrating when bloggers turn off their comments, but it is your decision really. As to making comments on other people's blogs - phooey! I used to try and do this and it is totally exhausting. Now I have my favourite blogs - some I always comment on, some I comment on when I feel the need, and others I only read (or not, depending on how I feel). It would be so easy to wrap your whole life up in blogging, but that is not really living is it?
Hope you get it sorted to how YOU like it. Good luck :) xx
at my age (88) I had this same problem. Asked my viewer what to do and they all said 'I have to do what's comfortable for you'. It has worked well for me so I give #2 a big thumb's up.
We all blog differently and I think that is perfectly fine.
I vote for number 2.
I have always kept a journal before I blogged so I think that is why it is easy for me to blog every day. I usually leave a comment on blogs that I read, but not always.
I agree with the others. Blog when you want, and comment just some of the time. I know what you mean about trying to keep up a blog and comment. It can be a lot of work!
Please keep comments on so we can keep in touch with you! :)
If you enjoy blogging, then keep doing it, but don't put so much pressure on yourself. Post as and when you choose to, and read other blogs as and when you wish. Blogging shouldn't feel like an obligation. X
I usually blog only when I have something to say or show. I only follow 3 others so commenting is something I like to do, but I don't really care if I receive any or not, but they are nice and usually tell me that my blogs are interesting or worthwhile.
Blog when you feel like it and don't when you don't. I blog when I have something to blog about. I try to make it a point to visit with everyone that comments on my blog (and some that don't). I feel it's the least I can do if someone takes the time to read! You do what works best for you!
I say, blog when you can.
#2! :-)
I think #2 was a good choice. I usually try to return comments, not always. What I used to do though, if I took a break from blogging, I would try to go back and see every post I had missed on the blogs I visited. Which was defeating the purpose of taking a blogging breaks.
I struggle with this....right now am going through a struggle with it. The interaction with others is good for me. A couple of the bloggers and I email most days, and I would still continue with them if I stopped blogging.
