I know very well, that not all, agree with me, on my love of (TV) watching of horse racing.    And I do not deny that all is not perfect, in this sport.    One aspect is the use of a whip.

"The Realities of the Whip in Horse Racing" is a very good article,  for those, like me, who have been bothered, by the use of a whip.  I encourage you to click on that click-able link, and read this informative article.

Again, I know not everyone, is in agreement.  As is so, with so many topics, in Blogging...

You sure got beautiful and sharp photos, just like I was there! Wonder how the hats looked!

I didn't see the race but heard how exciting it was and watched some clips.
Interesting article on the whip.

I was glad to read that article on whips as I have always wondered about their use.

Its my favorite few minutes in television. Do you ever go back and look at old videos of and about Secreteriat? I always say I missed my calling. Not to be s jockey...but to just be around the horses.

Don't watch these. I read an article about drug use & deaths of race horses from overdose. If it involves cruelty to any animal, it's not a sport.

I don't watch horse racing on TV but I bet that was an exciting race! I have gone to a couple races. One was regular horse racing and one was the harness racing where they pull a little cart. I did enjoy both!
