๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒผFun~"Smart"~Musing๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ˜Š

We enjoyed "Mrs. Brown," a Judi Dench film, as the widow Queen Victoria.   Fun fact....   A big part, in this film,  was played by the actor who plays "Lionel" in "As Time Goes By."   Billy Connolly is a wonderful 'John Brown.'  And Antony Sher plays 'Disraeli' marvelously.

I remember an article by Judi Dench, about the making of this film.   Billy Connolly is a wonderful story teller.   Nights, they would all sit around, drinking, and listening to him tell his stories, and laughing their heads off.    She said she would think.....  "I have to get up at 5:30am, to be on set....  Can I stay here, another hour, and still get up?"

They must have had a wonderful time, making this film!!!

Aug. 1st....  Kitchen sink cleaned....   Bathroom sink and bowel cleaned....   Before sitting down here, with the rest of my decaf.   ๐Ÿ˜Š  Sooooo proud of myself!  ๐Ÿ˜Š

I again think, I really need to take up "Fly Lady's" admonition, to clean sink before going to bed.   Such a wonderful...  brilliant even, idea!   So hard, somehow, to put into practice.    Do you???????   Always clean kitchen sink before going to bed?

And I should do necessary housework, early in the morning.    Well, not necessarily really early, but 'early,' after we have gotten up.   Morning is my 'perky' time, and I need to utilize it.  ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ   Of course I know this!   But do I always do it?   -sigh-  -sigh-  -sigh-  ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ   Do you have a "more perky" time of day?   And do you utilize it?

I'm really loving all these adorable, summer time, cute animal illustrations.   As you can see.

๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ

Wouldn't you love to have a picnic, like this one above????  ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Š   With all those delicious 'goodies,'  which you have *somehow* made yourself!   And then, had the energy left, to pack it all up and go out in the country?

๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒผ

And don't forget!!!!   There would be no admonitions to not eat all those delicious things!    It would be normal to bake them and eat them.  ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜Š    Ahhhh, the so-called good old days.  ๐Ÿ˜

The good ol' days indeed. Picnics, cool summer breezes, lush parks on a lake yep, I could go for that.

I ❣️ Dame Dench!!

I love all of the pictures and the picnic theme. My husband does the dishes so I don't have to worry about waking up to a messy sink. I'm blessed. I always prefer to clean in the mornings. If I put it off until later in the day it is looming over my head. When I do it early, I feel I have the rest of the day to relax.

When your background first came in, the first thing I thought of was a picnic. Then, lo and behold, your picnic header came in! The little girl visiting the rabbit house with the cupcake is one of the cutest drawings I have ever seen! SO adorable! I just got an e-mail that BritBox is raising their monthly price by one dollar. We will still keep it though. I think they did this because they are getting more and more popular, and want to take advantage of it. But it is worth it!

Where did you see Dishes In The Sink????

I said nothing about dishes in my sink.

We too have dishwasher, and we rinse dishes and put them in dishwasher.

All I said was, that I cleaned my sink, before sitting down with decaf.

I dislike dishes in sink.

I just heard that August is picnic month! So you are right on point!
That movie sounds so good. I have to write it down so I remember.
I always make sure my sink is cleaned out before bed, but don't clean it every night.

Usually. And I really like Swish and Swipe. Oh and cleaning the shower while in it.

Your graphics are darling.

It's been a long time since I watched that movie, but I remember liking it. I can imagine that
any time with Billy Connolly would be great fun.

Once a day I clean the sink and the top of the stove. Now if I would just clean that oven…

I am happy to learn that you cleaned so well!! "Bathroom sink and bowel cleaned"
No, I never leave dishes in sink. Of course I love your checkers! Red and white checkers always mean good food to me! Many checkerd cloths live here.

I clean my sink after I have used it, but never before going to bed - I just leave my wine glass on the side :)

Sorry...I thought a dirty sink included dishes in the sink! lol I think we should all have that glass of wine after we clean our sinks. Good comment Jules! Mine was not as good! lol

I cannot go to bed with a single thing in the sink, and the sink must be spotless! Haahaha sometimes TG stays up later than me and I get up to see a butter knife in the sink (he had peanut butter on a cracker) or -- YIKES! -- a glass with milk in the bottom! Ugh! I hurry and empty out the dishwasher so that I can quick hide the offending items in its depths! I am never perky when it comes to housework, though ... I just do it! Haaahahaa xoxo
