Sunday afternoon, when I woke up from my nap, I went into the kitchen, to begin dinner. Always go to sink, to wash my hands first. When I did, I noticed that the lady in the new house (the side of which, I see, from my kitchen window), had put "candle lights" in the side hall windows!!!!! I was so pleasantly surprised that I called her, right up. 😊
She said she hates the early darkness, and decided to put up some "light"!
I don't hate the early darkness, but I certainly liked the candles-in-window idea! Think I will get a couple, for our front windows! 😊
😊
HELP!!!
I can not remember where to go,
to change color of my post Date Line.
(sigh)
It is still in Autumnal colors
and I really want to change it.
Please...
Can someone tell me how?
I do not see how.... where I go,
to change all other blog "colors."
Thank you in advance!!!!!
😊

I love lights in windows! And I do hate the early dark. Ugh! It's depressing. Happily it is for only sixteen weeks. Happy Holiday Season to you! xoxo
I can't help you but I'm very happy to be able to comment! I've missed you...you bring a lot of light to our blogging world! Enjoy your week sweet lady!
One candle can take away the darkness!
Love the lights in the window. I kind of like when it gets dark earlier better than the sun not setting until after I'm ready for bed. Either way the time change always messes me up. No clue on how to change things on your blog, I haven't changed anything on mine in so many years I wouldn't know where to start. Hope someone can give you the info you need.
testing to see if I can post a comment...have tried for days and could not...
When you go to “new post” underneath the title there is a line of symbols. The last one looks like a brush or a pen... That’s how you change the colors.. if you have animals be sure of those candles are secure on the windowsills if they are low. My dogs knocked one off when we were at one night and it’s smoldered a burn spot into the carpet. It was a good thing we smelled it before it caught fire. They do look pretty.

Candles in the windows light the way for someone. Love the idea.
Okay, I have been investigating and it sure does not give us the options like it used to. Here is what I found:
Up in the right hand corner CLICK DESIGN.
Then on the left hand side, Click THEME
A window pops up that has a blog pictured which tells what style you are using. Over to the side just click CUSTOMIZE
Your blog will appear in that window. and on the left hand, you have different options.
Over on the left there are different options...you can change some colors if you click ADVANCED... but it sure does not have the options like it used to. Where you had control over every little thing as far as color.
I hope you can do what you want to do with this.
I have been playing more...after you have clicked ADVANCED, click PAGE and you have more individual choices!!!!! I am so glad to find that....I don't know how I missed it. I was really getting worried.
Well, I am back to not knowing if you will find what you want...and if you don't want to publish any of these comments about this, I do not blame you one bit. I know they are confusing.
Love candles in the window! Love that you are back to blogging too!
Good idea with the candles in the windows! A very nice touch I think! Can't help you with your question; hopefully someone else can!
betty
I love lights in the window!
To change the color of your date line, go to the page where you can do a new post, check comments etc, and click on theme. Then click on Advanced. Click on whatever is showing, such as page text and another drop down list of things you can customize will come up. You should be able to change the color there.
The candle light in the windows is a charming idea. We are called to shine our lights in the world, against the darkness, so that fits right in. I have a string of lights in my living room, small round bulbs, they look very cheering in cold weather.
