Books... Getting~Found~Read ๐Ÿ“š

I'm getting it...   In regular book form.....   Not my usual Kindle.....   This looks like a book, which I will enjoy "holding"....   And being able to Hi-Light sentences.  And I modified the look of the cover!  I prefer this, to orange.  ๐Ÿ˜Š

When looking for pictures, from "The Root Children," I came across this one.   Which looks delightful too....

This illustration is 'showing' too big.   But I don't care.  It is precious.....

This is a novel, not a children's book!!!  I have read it, some time ago.   Not for everyone, but I just *had* to read it.  ๐Ÿ˜Š  If you do or did, please tell me, your reaction to it.

 “Snow is diamonds for a faery's feet;
Blithely and bonnily she trips along,
Her lips a-carol with a merry song,
And in her eyes the meaning... Life is sweet!”

A snow post! Enchanting. Coincidentally, I am re-watching Downton Abbey and this morning, with my coffee, I watched an episode where Lady Violet Crawley says: "Mais oรน sont les neiges d'antan?" That's French of course, and I had to look up both how to spell it and what it meant. What it means is "But where are the snows of yesteryear?" ... an expression meant to convey melancholy nostalgia. There's something about snow that is both melancholy and nostalgic. But so beautiful, so special, and so charming! Especially when experienced from the warm confines of a happy home or place. xoxo

I read it some years ago. I really liked it but I feel like I could do a reread and like it even more.

Your cover looks alot better. This book looks good, and I like the size of the picture! Not too big for me! Can't wait for your review!

It's always fun to see what you are reading. I am going to look for that book by Katherine May. Looks like one I would enjoy. I'll be back for another visit soon. Have a good week.

I will have to look up that book. The picture somehow reminds me of The Lost Mitten. (Is that the name of the book??)

Re: making a pop up window. I will look into that. I'm not sure how to add that feature. (And no, I'm not offended. Just a bit un savvy when it comes to tech stuff)

I love all of these illustrations...the beautiful art! And I love children's books so much. I'm still trying to find a Brambly hedge book that I can afford. I read the Snow Child and didn't care for it...at all! I do love to read lots of different books though. Enjoy your day!
