πŸπŸ‚πŸ”₯ "Preppers" πŸ”₯πŸ‚πŸ

Re: Yesterday's post, these people are "Preppers."  Like one of them said; "She will enjoy the perks, which living now, brings.   But wants to be ready, to live, if our conditions revert to life in the 1800's."   -smile-  See the difference?

Not just self sufficient.  Prepared for a long haul.   When stores are empty and no one can just order for delivery.  I doubt anyone reading here, is even considering this.

And yet, look at how our supply chain is becoming compromised, right now.   If you want an item, for Christmas Giving, get it before Halloween, or it may well not be on the shelf, after.<----"Apocalyptic" thinking?   Well, I am not the only informed (not *way out,* wearing *tin hat*) person, saying it.  If one is listening.

Quite the interesting corner of a room, above, hu?  Betcha' whoever lives there, is quite self sufficient.  They probably built the house themselves.   Or a long gone relative did, and this generation is still living there.

Someone probably hand made the small wooden table, off of which they are eating.   And the chairs look hand made too.  Everything looks old, old, old and worn.   And quite lovely.....

Mmmm, did I use this quote before????  LOL

Your header and matching background are so stunning, yet warm and welcoming. Well, I have filled our office room with carts full of extra food & toilet paper.

I typically like to keep 3 or 4 months of items we regularly use on hand but have been feeling the need to make that at least 6 months. The world is in a very scary place right now. Everything is going up in price so even if nothing does happen I'll be saving money in the long run.

Doomsday posts are so ???? Just be happy where we are today and enjoy the things we already have. I have always believed that less is more. Think on it.

NOOKWORM...

I did not think this post, was a Doomsday Post. I was explaining, about the Instagrams, I had posted about, the day before. Filling in some more info, about how they viewed their life.

And I mentioned a fact, that everyone knows.... Our supply chain is being compromised. Plus, everything costs more now, due to Inflation. We all know this, when we buy anything. Including food.

It's just facing facts.

Yes, we would do well, to keep in mind, all which we do have. Of course! For all parts of our Health, mental and physical.

And I have never wanted "all the toys," which other people have. -smile- Less is certainly more!

I am simply saying, that all of us, who lived through the beginning of this horrible china/covid/pandemic, remember shortages. And we learned (I hope) the value of the old fashioned Deep Pantry.

But we forget....... May well be time, to remember it, again.

As always, thank you and all, for their comments. It can become a lovely discussion.

I'm kinda used to hoarding staples/essentials living in hurricane alley!
But still often I become irate knowing that these truckers & cargo ships are sitting idle knowing the situation they are creating; getting worse by the day.

THIS N THAT...

Yes, it's gloomy. Because this is the state of our Country, at the moment.

Gas prices?
Cost of Food?
Cost of Everything?

Up.

It's called Inflation.

Ships can't unload their cargo... Because of this present Government decisions.

"Help Wanted" signs everywhere.... Because this present Gov. has taught people to take Gov. Hand Outs, and not work. Creeping Socialism.

Airline personal refusing to take Gov. mandated "Jab" and shutting down flying.

Health Care Workers quitting, because of Gov. mandated "Jabs."

Mmmmmmm....... Yep, it's damn gloomy in the USA, now.

There is also "shrinkflation". We are paying the same for less of the product. It is VERY gloomy out there. It's almost like the powers that be are deliberately trying to ruin our country so that they can start over and do what they want. Like control every part of our lives. We need to pray!

We have quite a big pantry and like to keep a good supply of things.

Yes! I try to stock up - you just never know. And I've also heard to do your shopping early this year - and that's from someone in retail. I don't think it's doomsday, just planning and using common sense.

I like the way you say; "It's almost like the powers that be are deliberately trying to ruin our country so that they can start over and do what they want."

Bingo!

But we have to be *careful* how we *say* things, in this age of litigation.
