Perhaps if I type in BLUE, we will get snow. LOL Yes, I am getting desperate. People south of me, got lots. But not me.
My new calendar is pretty. But my old camera seems to be getting less and less able, to take a decent picture. -sigh- Maybe it was just the lighting but.......

Yesterday was a busy day. Morning eye appointment for my husband. 1pm hair appointment for both of us. We were very "shaggy," because we missed appointments due to my being sick.
I have thin hair, so length just makes it look awful. So I wanted it cut much shorter. And with a side part, sweeping long 'bangs' to the side. Well, we didn't get on the same wavelength, and I am not happy with how it turned out. But it will grow. -smile- And at least, it isn't "draggy-down" long anymore.
Someone might ask, why not change hairdressers? But she usually is very good, at doing what I want. Plus, and a big Plus... She is alone in her practice. When we go in, we are the only customers there. With so much sickness, this is a very reassuring thing.

Today, will be a stay home day. But spent chasing issues, with phone calls and e-mails. Our cable co. says we did not pay a bill, we say we did. Need bank proof.

My husband's newspaper has not been delivered since Dec. 27, 2021!!!! Have been chasing this, via their web site. Today, must call a number, wait and wait on line, listening to horrrrid music, and get to the bottom of it, on the phone.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
NOT!

I lived in an old cabin and the photo reminds me of it! In the mts of NC! I should dig out some old photos some time...when I have time! lol And I want to go back to the challenge I saw a week or so ago! YES, I'm in! I want to make changes and do better this year. I exercise enough but I eat too many calories! I can't eat sugar so I snack on nuts! But I'm cutting back. So here's to a healthy and Happy New year!
It's been my experience that even the best hairdressers sometimes miss the mark! But like you said it will grow! Love your pictures! Happy New Year!
I would love to be hunkered down in that beautiful cabin for a few months.
So many businesses are so short handed for one reason or another and it is a bit frustrating. I tried to make an eye appointment for my husband yesterday and was told the first available appointment is in May. We live in a small town and I doubt very seriously even if every single person made an eye appointment at this one doctors that it would take until May.
But...not going to let anyone steal my joy. We'll make it through.
I hope you see snow soon. We still have had none.
Love that cozy cabin photo. I hope you soon get some snow - we have it so rarely here that it's a big event! Now it's all melting. Sad. Hope your get-things-done day leaves you feeling quite satisfied.
Taking photos in gloomy winter light is difficult. Soon the days will brighten!
LOVE your calendar, maybe show some more pics from it? Hmmm...wonder what was going on with your hairdresser? Anyway, I would not switch either, sounds like a safe place to go. Gosh, I hope you get all these issues solved today!
Oh dear.. good luck with all those troubles.
I do love the art you share.. thank you.
Looks so warm and cozy by the fire!!
I LOVE the last picture with the deer.
We may be getting some snow tomorrow.
We have all had a few times when we walked away from getting a hair cut saying to ourselves, "it will grow back, this isn't permanent". Never fun, but not permanent :)
We have about 3 inches of snow and tonight we are suppose to get another 3 to 8 inches. I wish that I could gift it to you.
That photo of the fireplace and cozy chair make me want to curl up with some hand stitching. It looks like the perfect place to spend a cold winter day.
God bless and be safe.
Your blogging sister, Connie :)
P.S. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your sweet comment.
Sorry about that haircut. I also have thin hair so I feel your pain.
However - about the snow you are a little crazy! We are under blizzard warnings here. I was sent home from work early and it still took me an hour to get home. Now they say we might get 20 inches by Sunday!
As I predicted, rain has just arrived here. X
I wish you success with the fun...I had two days of such fun earlier.
I know how lucky I am to live in a cozy cabin - not as rustic as that one but suited to my needs. Hair? Thin, straight. it used to be my best feature thick and wavy. Have to adapt to aging changes I guess. As for the awful music that is forced for us to listen to when we wait for the representative to come on is VERY annoying! Been there. The sun is shining brightly here and we expect a change in the weather during this evening. No snow at all - yet!
The snowy scene on your calendar page is so pretty. It's old fashion and makes me think of the Currie & Ive landscapes. I haven't bought a printed calendar in a few years. Instead, I use an Internet source to print the entire monthly calendar pages to use for scribbling out appointments that I keep on the side of my freezer. It's not pretty but it does the job. I also keep appointments on my computer calendar which alerts on multiple devices so nothing gets missed most of the time. :) The wood stove open hearth photo is so inviting. That looks like the perfect spot to relax with something hot in your hands like a cup of coffee. :)
