Our tv died. I think we had it for over 15 years though, so that was good service. Ordered one on line, and our next door son and grandson picked it up for us. Then the fun began...!!!!
🍓
It took both of our sons, and a grandson and a grand daughter and her fiance... To try to get it all hooked up and working. 😓
I wanted a Smart tv. Mmmmmmm, would have been much simpler, if I had gotten a *not-Smart* tv. But it has worked out well.
🍓
We have had Prime Video, for our tablets. Our Grand daughter got Britbox set up for us. And now, we watch all those things, on our tv screen!!! Not just on our little tablets. Super!!!!!
🍓
But learning to work the new Smart tv....!!! This has been a real learning curve for me!!!! Yikes!!!!!!
🍓
With so much *streaming*, to watch, will we drop cable and regular tv? Not yet. There are still a few things, we want to watch on regular tv. A few shows he watches. And my horse racing and Bucs football. But if we ever want to, we are all set, to use only streaming services.
🍓
Do you have a Smart tv and was it a JOB, learning, how to work it?????

Yep, we do have a smart TV, but funny thing is, we don't watch much TV. You tube, Netflix, etc. only on occasion. No, it isn't difficult to step up. Wasn't. If you watch a lot of TV, you will love it. (Lovin' your graphics!)
Tv is smart, not sure about me…lol.
I have a regular TV - nice and big - in it own room and watching a movie is sacred to me.
Yes, you're right... it's wonderful with Prime and Netflix and Disney... the last thing I saw was "The Wheel of Time" - but actually I watch very little now in summer and much prefer to be outside in nature and in the garden.
Hug for you... and yes, strawberries are the best :-))) before the cherries :-) Enjoy. Viola
We do have SMART TV's. The big guy set them up, it didn't seem to be too bad. Britbox is something I've been considering but I already don't have enough time in the day to watch what is available. I think we'll stick with Dish, Netflix and Prime. That is plenty for us.
Hope you're all doing well and that you enjoy your Sunday!!!
I have heard from other bloggers, even tech-smart ones, that smart T.V.'s are awful to learn! We got a Roku, which turns your old T.V. into smart, and is real easy. I have wanted Brit Box, but we have most of our favorite British shows on PBS streaming. We love our amazon Prime shows, too! so many that you can never watch them all. I LOVE your sweet pics and bright strawberry background! How much is Brit Box anyway, I would love to have it.
I would like to get a smart tv, and I'm sure it will be a process to learn it!
I just heard that Hulu has something called Hulu live where you can get most of the major cable stations and much cheaper. I'm going to check into that.
I'm glad you're all set up again, and I'm sure you'll get the hang of how it works the more that you use it. X
We have a Roku which allows us to stream Sling TV. It costs less than half of what we were paying for cable. We have an antenna to watch local broadcasting. We also have Prime. You can add any channel you want plus it's so easy to cancel. Being retired, it's so nice to be saving so much money. Cable is so expensive and you don't have as many options. My husband is still able to watch all his sports and I can watch all the British mysteries I like! I highly recommend to cut the cable cord.
Nope, don't want one. I have a small one near the dining table and watch news in the morning and a few favorite shows after dinner. The big one that was the Mister's is never used by me. It sits there waiting...waiting...
We have several smart TVs and I'm not sure you can even buy a non-smart one anymore! We've never had any problem learning how to work them; my problem is that I cannot stand ads so that leaves streaming services, which is all I ever watch anymore. We had cable, which I actually love, for many years, but some time ago TG switched to Sling to save money. I hate it! Haahaha first world problems. Enjoy your shows on the big screen! xoxo
We have Britbox too.. please share some of your favorite programs when you have time.
:-)
My TV is a 'smart' one as well and I love being able to watch all those other channels when there is nothing interesting to watch on mainstream television. I usually end up watching a National Geographic item on the Disney channel :)
